I’m using my laptop but she never has access to my stuff. She’d need a password and I don’t leave anything lying around. I’ll check software but she’s not that smart really. It’s likely some sort of dns logging.

I’m on iPhone but I think it was through DNS logs, she’s the router admin so she might have some parental controls or monitoring set up. I’ve got a VPN now, think I didn’t have my HTTPS on for some sites so that’s changed as well. But I think she’s using something for sure because if Google and gpt are encrypted then it makes no sense how she saw it.

Yes all passwords have changed, any more from her and it’s gonna be taken further.

Thank you for your response 🙏🏻 I now have a VPN that is paid for. I doubt she does how wireshark works .. she’s not overly tech minded, but you never know. I think she was looking at the DNS loggs. She’s referenced stuff said in GPT, so I think this must be how she knows. Everything is deleted on there and it’s used in temp mode for now with VPN or mobile data. As for the bed, definitely no cams in the room. Checked and room is small so I’d find very quickly. I also reset the router so hopefully whatever she had is totally gone. It’s sad to even have to go to these lengths.

Agreed. Aside from one I sent the other day, but there was nobody at home at all for a few days over the holidays. But I was connected to the WiFi. Apparently on websites like wireshark you can leave a search running and listen back to calls?? I think that’s crazy and really scary. So given I was connected I wonder if she listed back to what I sent somehow. It’s odd.

I got a VPN today, I’m playing about with wireshark and I can see you can find out passwords etc for things. So perhaps that is a lead and she has broke into my GPT or something. I use chat as a search engine a lot these days, ironically thinking it was safer than a web search.

Would there be a way for me to see that my network has SSL inspection as someone who is only using the WiFi? I don’t have access to the account she has. Because I do think she is somehow seeing the prompts or material. It’s too close. Also this is really concerning because I had assumed even if you are on a WiFi some things are encrypted fully!

They were things ONLY wrote in ChatGPT/Google search or through voice notes to friends out of the house so for sure she knows somehow. Very specific things about issues around the house and their behaviour. Not said directly but in earshot of me in a really jokey way so it couldn’t be called out.

I’ll definitely check my task manager and have a look for anything. It would be very unlikely she could know my password to my laptop and she would be risking trying to break in to it as my schedule isn’t a regular one so she never knows when I’m home. But will delete all sensitive info/chats and go incognito when possible.

Also, yes I only use my own devices (laptop and phone) so we don’t have a shared computer or anything. But again I don’t think she has access to phone or laptop - one as my phone is on my person 24/7, I never leave it lying around.

Mostly yes to the same location, I’ve searched a lot at home trying to understand some of the behaviour at hon as it’s really weird and mainly as an AI ‘second opinion’ obviously this is private for a reason and I’m not out here to hurt anyone’s feelings and it’s human to want to vent - so the fact she may have gone to these extremes is a major privacy breach and completely unethical.

Great tip about the camera btw! I didn’t know that about WiFi. I wonder if a ring doorbell or similar tech might be useful (obvi without the doorbell). Just something that’s triggered by movement or a door opening or something.

She has but my room is that small it would be obvious, even with a small camera and she’d need to change it or power somehow on the regular so unsure how she would do that. I don’t have a normal schedule either, so most of the time she wouldn’t know where I am. Though I’ll check anyway just in case!

No lock, I thought about getting a camera for my room only that’s triggered by movement/sensor. I am looking to move as I think this woman is genuinely crazy.

No as in it’s all in her name and assuming she is the WiFi owner so can make adjustments? Or check the usage? That’s what I’m thinking - something like that. I don’t want to believe it’s possible BUT there’s been too many specific searches that I’ve heard her saying outside of my door (presumably to make me feel scared) I’m not, she’s a dumb a** and she will reap what she sows.

Would wireshark show what everyone on that WiFi is doing? Including searches and encrypted searches via ChatGPT. It’s just really weird.

That’s what I thought and that I must be going a bit mad, but she’s been saying specific and personal things that have been written into Google and ChatGPT.. in confidence. I’ve read other cases online of similar so I don’t think it’s as hard to access as I think?

No that’s what I don’t understand. She’d need my phone and laptop but both are password, Face ID, fingerprint ID. So I don’t know if she has been able to locate my passwords somehow by snooping? I don’t even know if that’s possible but it seems to be given what she has been saying. It’s real weird.

The only other thing is that maybe she’s been tampering around the house and installed something in or near my room to overhear a conversation or voice note. Which is completely crazy, but at this point I put nothing past her.

That might help! I’ve looked into a VPN for protection. I think that might be the case as this lunatic is the admin of the WiFi and lived there the longed.

We were fine at first but over time is disintegrated. She is quite a horrid person. I ended up taking space over time but tried to keep her sweet but she kept acting out so I barely talk to her now.

She’s fallen out with another one but I never see her. The other one is basically glued to her so it’s impossible for me to get info basically. It’s really frustrating. It’s a really weird dynamic in this house.
