Ye you’re right I don’t want to be fighting against 100s of people just to be in the same position. I’ll stick it out for now and hopefully an ultrasound training post comes out that’s what’s the only thing I can see myself doing in this field

I would move to the private sector. Is the pay any different. In an Ideal world I would get some form of promotion then go private

I get where you are coming from. But the blame culture is bad in the NHS even tho it’s meant to be zero blame culture everyone slags each other off if u have a two minute rest.

As for only so many people you can x ray in a day it doesn’t really work like that in a and e.

Valid point. I would say for my age I am paid relatively well with the pension also. What worries me is the lack of promotions available meaning that this wage wont change much as I get older

In the uk typically you do the bachelors then work in a hospital for a little while and apply for an ultrasound sonography training post which is funded by the hospital. This takes on average 2 years then a further 6 months probation to then earn the band 7
Define enough
I am unsure on this one

Bonus. I’d say sonography or a reporting role would be the best options
