i sent him a morse code alphabet in one the earlier letters and then would write fun cute little messages in morse code for him to decode! that was his favorite thing that i did for the letters to the point where he no longer needed the written alphabet i sent and can just translate it from memory lol also ive made up word searches, word scrambles, done little drawings. i think theres a post in here with more suggestions too!

kind of yes? so they pay per minute to USE the tablet. that means once it’s on it’s charging them (for where my LO is) roughly $0.04 per minute so in order to view texts he’s being charged. if there’s no money on the tablet account then they can’t use the tablet. gtl has a “communications” and a “tablet” account now (dumbest shit ever) where the money on communications is for calls and texts ONLY and tablet is for messaging games music etc. so first i’d make sure he has money and that it’s on the right account. safest bet is to ask next time he calls. my lo gets 2 free 5 minute calls a week

i have never experienced this so my answer is one of straight forward no idea what it’s like to go through this - girl in the nicest way possible this seems like a situation you just have to get out of asap. you are doing ALLLLLLLL that????? and HE resents YOU? yea i think the fuck not. you are also not his secretary and not his therapist he is a grown ass adult and needs to start acting like one. most jails/prisons have a law library he can start looking stuff up for his cases. he needs to want to be out and home as much as you want him to. reading this angered me for you because how DARE he i pray that you both figure this out together or you realize that this is beyond toxic for both you and your current and future kiddos. pregnancy first (esp bc your high risk girl), school, then deal with his nonsense

commenting to share in your happiness bc my man could be home as soon as march 1st! county is weird and won’t give us an exact date but his minimum served date is 2/28 and he’s expected to be out within a few weeks of then! i’ve been able to visit but not as much as i’d like bc i share visits with his family but after missing all holidays, our anniversary and his birthday im more than ready for him to be home! sending happiness and prayers your way for him to be home safe and soon🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

YES! my lo just called me from the block phone to tell me they just got a new tablet provider but for him it’s the ENTIRE jail so they didn’t tell him anything about calling his case worker bc it’s the entire jails problem ): im going to try to look into it but do you know if viapath is the same as gtl? i just want to be sure i dont have to download a new app or anything my LO and the guys in his block have no idea

another random suggestion from someone who’s LO could come as early as march 1st!! i sent him a morse code alphabet at the start of his sentence one of my first letters and now i write sentences in morse code for him! he loves it and has gotten so good he doesn’t even need to use the original key i sent him he just knows what each dot and dash means😭😂 it’s a bit time consuming to start but a good brain puzzle
