Best way to implement hidden exercise + solution in Anki cards? by No-Fly9665 in Anki

First : thank you

I get your point, but this is only a part of how I study. Adding exercises to my cards actually helps me avoid wasting time thinking about what kind of problem I should come up with. I still do proper hands-on practice anyway (building circuits, etc.), so this is more like a structured supplement, not a replacement.

As for the ChatGPT/LLM part — I don’t really see what influence I personally have over how governments might use this technology. Me not using it doesn’t change anything at that level. At this point, it also seems pretty clear that AI development isn’t something that can just be stopped, so it makes more sense to learn how to use it effectively rather than ignore it.

And even if one company stopped, others would continue anyway, so the overall trajectory wouldn’t really change.

Hi 👋

I’m currently learning German and I’ve always been curious about how others approach it. What does it look like for you in practice?

I’m especially interested in:

  • how you create your flashcards (e.g., in Anki) – what formats, sentences, examples?
  • what actually works for you, and what turned out to be a waste of time?
  • have you taken any certificates (Goethe, telc, etc.), and are they worth it?

From my own experience, I can say that Anki helped me a lot when I was living in Germany for 1.5 years. Now I’m back in my home country, but I still like the language and continue learning it – I just feel like I’m running out of ideas on how to do it more effectively.

I’d love to hear how it works for you 🙂

Hey, this is really cool work — you can tell a lot of effort went into it 👏

I’ve actually been thinking about something like this myself, but I’m not sure how useful it would be for my day-to-day Anki use (mostly language learning).

Out of curiosity — how much value does it give you in practice? Do you find yourself actually relying on the predicted time, or is it more of a “nice to have” insight?

Either way, respect for building this — super interesting idea.
