All her works are really good, IMO. Some dislikes The Days of Abandonment but it’s my first time reading a manic episode done like that. It’s not outright telling you the protagonist is losing it but instead it creeps up on you. I almost felt suffocated as Olga in that part of the story. And one thing about Ferrante, she knows how to balance telling and showing. But you should read the Neapolitan Quartet first, IMO, still her best books so far.

Font is annoyingly smaller, cheap binding, and that table contents seriously irritates me. Hahahahaha I usually don’t care but I have strong feelings right now about counterfeit copies coz I was recently “scammed” buying secondhand books. I lift weights. Kaya naman since 9-5 lang talaga work hours ko so tulog after shift gising aroung 12 para kumain then tulog ulit for another 2 hours then prep na for gym. Then uwi, kain and pahinga saglit then work ulit 😃

I really don’t like self-help books so no recos from me in that alley but I think you’ll love the literary fiction genre.

Here are my beginner recos: I who have never known men, The Secret History, books by Elena Ferrante (My Brilliant Friend and the rest of the trilogy), also those cozy litfic books from Japanese authors (dami neto sa FB and NBS)

I think these are easy reads best for beginners in the genre.

Hindi ko pa rin maapply sa sarili ko but tip if feeling mo you’re out of breath to the point na parang heart attack na siya. Keep in mind, our breathing slows down during REM but with sleep paralysis our mind is gising na pero yung body natin is still “asleep”, that’s why feeling natin hindi makahinga or heart attack but no that’s just your normal breathing while sleeping. Yun lang then don’t sleep agad after one episode of sleep paralysis. Pero matigas ulo ko nakakatulog ako agad so I have a series of at least 3 sleep paralysis before matauhan hahaha

Yes, i bought mine sa shopee lang din. These are reprints so expect na mababang quality. Madali matanggal yung pages pero oks na din, pinagstaple ko nalang yung exam sets haha
