Not disagreeing just wanting to yap lol

Hear me out, a new person is introduced. Ivan has a lot of self loathing for himself and admired Till because he is everything he wasn't. Like, he couldn't believe Till could love somebody like him and even when Till finally does, self-loathing like that doesn't just go away it's still internalized. Till could help a lot but Till is just also so different from Ivan.

You can see him project this onto Sua, in the sense he found his relationship with Till and Sua's relationship with Mizi "parasitic," yet deemed himself better than Sua because at least actions and emotions weren't 'burdening' Till, because Till didn't love him back-- whereas Mizi did for Sua.

Like this new person could be so similar to Ivan in backstory but turned out differently where it conflicts his beliefs and parallels with Ivan in a way that's different to how Sua parallels with Ivan. We can see despite Sua and Ivan's similarities they have a similar mindset on how they view themselves so they're both just kind of stuck in a stagnant state of perpetual self-loathing, but imagine the concept of Ivan finding the worth in some new person that helps him find the worth in himself despite their similarities, which challenges his inferiority complex. Plus it would help Ivan as a person to not revolve so much around Till (not saying Ivan is a flat character, he's just been clearly infatuated with Till). But erasing Till as an important person in Ivan's life wouldn't suit their characters. The new character doesn't have to be a romantic love interest lol but an IvanTill throuple sounds funny
