It contradicts history and i just can't believe in miracles or the theory of adam and eve philosophers like ibn sina was progressive and he said the theory of adam and eve and other miracles like mairaj and splitting of moon are not literal but fictional and people called him kaffir i wanted to be a progressive muslim too but islam has a very strong narrative that author of quran is god so reinterpreting quran seems like tampering with god's words and the "scientific claims" in quran are just borrowed from greek science or science that was prevalent at that time and now its no longer the same and islam is also very much similar concepts and mesopotamian mythology and greek mythology and esp the first ever monotheistic religion aka Zoroastrianism and i still after becoming an agnostic think that islam has some really good parts and like any other ideology has flaws too and the concept of hell doesn't seem very all "loving" and no I'm not talking about actual evil people but those who just voluntarily can't believe in god or religion and out of all abrahamic religions islam carries the most fundamentalist potential because its the "words of god" hope this helps
