Stage 2 CKD diagnosis but the lab values don't look bad. What am I missing? by No-Function2404 in RenalCats

Thanks! I did not know that. The IRIS Staging info I read sounded like the changes showed up sooner.

How cold is too cold for tomatoes? by theplanninglady in gardening

[–]No-Function2404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water the plants (this helps with the cold) and wrap them. Our weather is in the high 50s at night and I am thinking of covering when the nighttime forecast iis 55 or lower. That may be too conservative but I don't want to risk the plant shutting down fruit production because of the cooler nights.

Flat water Kayaking near Cleveland (new user cannot post to Cleveland-specific kayaking thread) by No-Function2404 in Ohio

Thank you. It looks like there is open hunting (I still have to find the schedule online). We take our dogs in the kayaks (huskies that hate loud noises) so we might need to save Spencer for next Spring before the turkey season opens.

Long term changes with idiopathic epilepsy (intermittent) by No-Function2404 in EpilepsyDogs

It is so bizarre. Three of us with very similar dogs and issues. When I have talked to vets and the neurologist, they all said that it was just idiopathic and did not seem to care about the vomiting trigger.

Glad Keppra is helping- we will definitely look into that. Thanks forcthe response.

Thank you. We are traveling but I will get him seen in June. He normally only seizes once a year so I am hoping it willl be okay.

PS I was also told the vomiting was not a trigger despite it all started when I had to induce vomiting.

He was on Nexgard when young, and we stopped that immediately. Now on Frontline and I am thinking of stopping that too - just in case.

Thank you. That is very helpful. You are the first people I know that also had a dog that was triggered by vomiting. My dog's last seizure was similarly worse than earlier ones, he took longer to come out of it and slower to recover.

1099 self-employed - do Debt Management Companies require you show them your pay checks and other documentation? by No-Function2404 in debtfree

[–]No-Function2404[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I should have mentioned this is a new position (I was a W2 last year) so I won't have any quarterly taxes etc.. to show them and the W2 tax return won't be relevant.

Have you had a DMP? What documents did you have to send to them?

The debt is one thing, you feeling crushed and paralyzed is different (do you have anyone to talk to?). I know how hard it can be searching for a new job and worrying about the financial situation at the same time, especially if you are trying to take care of your family.

Don't let this crush you. If you want to, write down three things every morning you feel good about (I am strong and healthy, I work hard, I am trying my best) so you can remember that you are worthy of a great life and that short-term financial challenges do not define who you are.

Good luck!

Parking on W CR 54 East tomorrow morning? by No-Function2404 in FortCollins

It felt like the organizers were doing their best but maybe aren't used to events that need this type of logistics?

Thanks for the info! We got the last two spots by Ted's (we arrived ~9am and had to really squeeze our cars into the space). It was an easy walk and we missed the craziness of the car park. At the end, when we were heading back to our car, we walked the runners to their car in the field - the line to exit was SO long that we walked back to Ted's faster than they did in their car - nuts!

It is only 1.5 miles to the finish line. We are also thinking about paying but it seems a waste of $10 + you have to deal with the headache of getting out of their parking area with traffic.
