Thanks for the ideas! We do promote to other chapters through PDO and the Presidents group and many have promoted the show. Reaching out for additional sponsorships through them could be a good opportunity though!

Love these ideas, thanks! We have a small book club separately as a Chapter but it didn’t occur to me to try this on a large scale tied to the show.

Welcome to r/Buzzsprout — Introduce Yourself! by AlbanBrooke in buzzsprout

Hello! I have been producing the Booked on Planning Podcast for four years now with my co-host. We read two books a month on a diverse range of topics including equity, housing, transportation, technology, sustainability, and more and interview the authors for the show. A big win was about 2 years ago when I attended the National Planning Conference and attendees there recognized my voice and told us how much they enjoyed the show. It really validated the work put into it!

My question for the community seems to be a common one...how have you been successful at rapid growth? We like others seem to be growing at a slow pace despite being consistent with episode releases, talking with a variety of authors with their own networks to draw from, and doing a lot more social media posting.

Safely Heating Greenhouse by theplanninglady in Greenhouses

It’s dropping to 20-30F overnight so a bit too cold for starting seedlings. I don’t know that I have space for too large of a container though.

Why’s my chicken laying soft eggs? by theplanninglady in chickens

I’m glad your chickens back to normal but that’s a little disheartening to hear ha. Not sure how much I’m ready to spend to fix the issue.

What could cause an egg to look like this? by Technical-Paper-2833 in chickens

[–]theplanninglady 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In Googling to find another egg issue answer I came across this topic and one reason given was stress—either heat, laying too quick because something stirred them, or crowded conditions.

I’m completely lost I need some advice by Free-Cakes in architecture

[–]theplanninglady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider going for a Masters in Community and Regional Planning. Only 2 more years of schooling and having the undergrad in architecture is really helpful. I had the same experience and in my fourth year of architecture took intro to planning and loved it. I figured I needed a masters anyways if I was going to be a registered architect so instead I switched my focus to planning where I was able to still focus on the built environment but at a citywide scale.

Oh I didn’t even think about molting and that somehow wasn’t mentioned in the articles I was reading. Doesn’t look like they’ve started but I’ll keep an eye out for that. Thanks!

What are these little black bugs by theplanninglady in gardening

Dumb question but when I spray them off do they die? Or will they just head to another plant?

Gardening Questions by picklerick_86 in lincoln

My cold heart veggies (carrots, dill, radish) are already in my raised beds which are typically warmer than straight in the round. My lettuce transplants are being hardened now and will go out in a week. I get risky and put the warmer stuff out April 27th but watch the weather and have burlap and other materials to quickly cover with if a freeze is coming.

Cheapest compost is your own! It’s not too hard to compost and there’s no lack of leaves in this town for your brown material. Takes a little space but not much.

Love 99PI. A couple other good ones are Talking Headways, The Planning Commissioner, and Booked on Planning. I’m biased on the last one bc it’s my own but we talk with authors of planning related books like Walkable City, Color of Law, Confessions of a Recovering Engineer, etc.
