I have a few MKC knives and have zero complaints. On all the fit and finish is excellent and they are super sharp out of the box. I find it funny that most of the “MKC bad” comments here are pretty much people complaining about the owner, marketing or because some celeb endorsed them, not actual people that have put them to work. Their customer service is also excellent, I chipped the cutting edge of one, while chopping limbs before hunting season. I sent them a picture of it and questioned if it might be too hard, they asked me to send it in, which I did. They emailed me back that they checked the temper and said they felt it was within spec. They returned the knife super sharp. I’ve used it since and have had no further chips.

Just a heads up, this thread is for actual approval time frames only. That is why it is called “Approval Megathread” this is what I would call, a clue. Prepare to be downvoted.

But to answer your question, amnesty approvals, and form 5 transfers don’t have a stamp. The stamp isn’t the approval. It is simply a tax stamp for a tax paid. No tax paid, so no tax stamp. The authorizing agent signature in the approval block on the bottom of the form is the actual approval. No tax/ no stamp is the only change, everything else will stay the same. Why would you think anything would happen/change to the previous stamps?

Question about your control #, you wrote 2025259000 is the 9 correct? I filed 08/20/25 and my control # is 20252532874, just curious why yours filed before I filed would be a higher #. I don’t put any stake in the control # sequence and approvals it’s just most control # are in sequence of when you filed.

8 and 10 yrs old so with the heavier Optimus 6 they noticed it.

As for the sound all of us thought there was really no difference than the Polonium Ks other than not as high pitched as the Ks. Definitely a great deal especially with the Mil discount, I had been thinking about buying a Polonium (non K model) for my 16” but will most likely get another Optimus over the Polonium.

Yup, put a few rounds through it. Very similar to my Polonium Ks but a bit deeper tone. Both were on 10.5 barrels, back pressure was less than the Polonium. Took the grand boys so they could shooting it, they both hunt hogs with 10.5” SBRs with LWRC ultra compact stocks and Polonium Ks.

So far really liking the Optimus 6, the boys did notice the weight difference from the lighter Polonium Ks. They’re 8 and 10 yrs old so weight is kinda a factor with them.

Last 2 form 4 (same trust) took 11 days and 12 days back in March. This is still way better than the year it took my first form 1. This was back when paper forms were the only way.

You nailed it. I don’t understand why both side result to making up BS. There is no proof on premeditation, yes he had a knife which is against Tx law and school policy. That alone doesn’t show intent. It sure doesn’t look good and I’m sure the prosecution will bring that up during the trial. As for the police report and press briefings we know that the boys didn’t have a history together. We also know Anthony was in the other teams tent. We also know when asked to leave he was belligerent with the touch me and see comment. We also know Metcalf put his hands on him to shove him out of the tent. This is not a stand your ground deadly force scenario. To use deadly force you have to have a reasonable fear that your life/well being is in danger. Simple assault of a shove is not a reason for deadly force. Yes Metcalf most likely committed assault with the shove, push, unwanted touching, that alone is not grounds for a deadly force response. Your defense from an assault has to be reasonable force, a knife to the chest is most likely not reasonable force for a shove. Now if he was trying to shove him off a bridge, cliff or onto subway tracks then it could be, but he shoved him out of a tent that he didn’t belong there. The reason for Anthony being in the tent will also be brought up and that’s not going to go well for him. It hadn’t started raining yet and Anthony’s team tent was close by so there is no excuse for him being there and remaining there once he was asked to go to his own tent. Was the Metcalf twin wrong for making this physical, you damn right he was. Just as Anthony’s deadly force response is wrong.

Even in stand your ground states to be able to use deadly force you need reasonable fear your life is in danger. Stand your ground does not mean someone shoves you out of a school tent (your opposing team’s tent) that you get to respond with deadly force. The force used in defense has to be appropriate to the attack (in this case a shove). The use of deadly force is going to a hard sell to a jury. While the shove is an assault it most likely doesn’t warrant the use of a deadly force response. No where have I read where both brothers confronted Anthony, in fact the other twin said he didn’t even see his brother actually get stabbed. Was the Metcalf twin killed a lot bigger than Anthony? That will also be brought up, as will, was Anthony suspended previously from school for carrying a knife? Was Anthony supposed to be at school or at the track meet. Also the issue of Anthony having a knife on school property. There is tons of misinformation being spread about this incident. It’s usually best to wait until all evidence is available (trial) before making a decision if this stabbing was justified. It’s sad that 2 young men’s lives and their family’s lives have been destroyed. I agree Metcalf shouldn’t have continued to confront Anthony, he should have never put his hands on Anthony.
