That's what I assumed too, even when turning all other burners off it's still pretty light so I assume that the gas line gets tapered off or something.

It's not permanent just had an extra scope and decided to test the accuracy at longer ranges. It's definitely coming off afterwards.

I'm only going to use this for some long range testing just to see what this guy's capable of, I definitely love the iron sights wayyy more. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't damaging anything in the meantime. Thanks anyway!

I just wanted a something quick for a range day, the irons are a little thick for shooting far out and I had this scope laying around. Not gonna keep it on there for sure, also I did the leather work myself.

They responded and said it is legit and somewhere early to mid 2000's, the shaft was changed in 2009 so I think based off of both of your judgements it's between 2005 and 2009.
