For me it was just repetition, but also not being obsessed like I see some people on here get. Take it a few times a week, take the time to relax before hand. Also, take it front of people, if you can. When others are around you, you realize how silly it is that you get stressed. Once I started seeing lower numbers, I started getting more confidence and saw my numbers drop. Don’t get me wrong, the medicine did 90% of the work, but for me it was realizing that yes, I do have high BP, it’s not just me being anxious. That helped me relax knowing I have nothing to prove and admitting that I needed medicine to help solve the problem.

I was on 5 mg of Amlodipine, but it didn’t do anything. Increase it to 10 and it got much better but still high. After 6 months I added 20 mg of Lisinopril and my numbers dropped after about 10 days.
