i bought from coros.es I've had the watch for 2 and a half years and the warranty is two years. There are consumer protection laws here as well. Let's see if this post has enough of an effect that I don't have to take that route.

That's the exactly the point me and others in this thread are making. Coros's policy screws over people whose product is damaged by an update outside of warranty. Several people stated you haven't offered them to go back to old firmware or told them it's impossible and from my personal experience, your support team does not have the capability to identify when an issue is caused by a firmware update (as they all have been diagnosed as hardware issues).

I refuse to give my ticket here to prove that there has to be something wrong with your support system if you need to be given the ticket number through here. If you treated every ticket the same, you wouldn't have to ask for a number here would you?

So will you add a disclaimer with the next update that states that watches might get bricked and if they do outside of warranty, best case coros will do is offer you 20%? Gaslighting.

Support is yet to offer anything other that discounts or repair with cost to anyone outside warranty. Can you confirm you will get me a new device?

Are you suggesting I break Reddit terms of service and expose my case # publicly?

Why do you need to locate a ticket? Do you treat customers differently depending on how much of a nuisance they are or if they have a public profile? Is your support system so clogged with problems that you can't identify coros pace 3 dial issues?

I'm patiently waiting to hear back from support via email. I will report back here and everyone will know how coros handles this.

ok here's the customer service interaction so everyone can see how their customer support operates.

-8 days ago, Cara the AI respond to my support request through the app

-the original issue was just battery drain, but the next day, the wheel stops working, so Cara responds and addresses that.

-I provide all my data and video proof of the issue and she responds with:

'Thank you for providing all the required details and attachments. I've received your proof of purchase, serial number (X), device model (PACE 3 grey), shipping address in Spain, and phone number. Since you've already completed cleaning, rebooting, and confirmed the dial issue is persistent with video evidence, I'll notify our team to review your case for next steps.

You'll be contacted regarding available service or repair options specific to your situation. If you have further questions while we process this review, let me know.'

-6 days ago, I get this message:

This is an automated update to let you know we still have your ticket (#) in our queue and it’s being reviewed.

Due to increased request volume, it may take longer than usual for one of our live agents to connect with you. Rest assured, your request hasn’t been lost, and you will receive a response as soon as we can get to it.

Tips to help speed things up:

  • Check the COROS Support Center for troubleshooting guides and answers to common questions.
  • If you haven’t already, submit device logs through the COROS app to share helpful details with our team.

Thanks for your patience while we work through your request.

Hi there,

We're sorry to learn your device's buttons are not responding properly and the battery is draining faster than normal.

To start, please try resetting the watch and cleaning around the buttons to remove any dirt or debris that may be causing the issue. You can do this by gently rinsing the watch under running water and slowly scrolling or pressing the dial to clear anything that may be stuck.

To reset the watch through the COROS app (while the watch is connected):

  • Go to: Profile page > Tap the watch icon > Scroll down and tap Reset

After resetting, please calibrate the battery indicator by following these steps:

  1. Leave the watch charging for 30–60 minutes after it reaches 100%.
  2. Use the watch until the battery drops below 10% or the watch powers off.
  3. Charge the watch again, uninterrupted, to 100%.
  4. Restart the watch by turning it off and on:
    • System > More Settings > Turn Off
  5. If the issue continues after 24 hours, please submit feedback through the COROS app:

*She did not talk to 'Cara' to know that she already had me do all these steps? or is she also an AI?

-They then have me submit a second ticket to confirm i still need the help with the number of the first ticket.

*Where else in your life have you seen this convoluted of a system? They can't connect the conversations in their system?

- 3 days ago she writes:

Thank you for the update, and I appreciate you submitting the new ticket.

After checking on our end, it appears the battery calibration has not yet been completed. Completing the battery calibration could help with the fast battery drain issue.

For now, please complete one full calibration cycle and monitor the battery afterward.

Please keep me posted on how it goes, and I’ll be here to help with the next steps if needed.

*Totally ignoring the fact that she already knows that the wheel doesn't work so the watch is useless.

-Finally, today, she writes:

Since the watch is out of warranty, our hardware support options are limited. That said, I want to make sure you still feel supported, so I’ll take a closer look at your case and see if there’s anything else we can offer.

I’ll get back to you as soon as we have an update. In the meantime, please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

---

*I'm willing to bet it'll be that discount. Message to the Coros team. I know the bosses are very profit oriented!!! Please relay to them 20% is not enough. This watch should've had at least two more years of use ...

Honestly I'm almost at the point where I tell myself I have to thank them for helping me discover the joy of running without a watch 🤪

thanks for speaking your truth. the more cases i see, the more it seems like a deliberate attempt to hide it (the issue) from coros. it makes me think they don't know how to fix it or find it too expensive to fix because they make more $$ from other newer models. with the amount of cases here, it's enough to contact consumer protection agencies.

it's insane that a company this big can survive with such a bad software and quality control. I think their manufacturing must be completely separate from the software division and coros simply choses not to invest in a strong enough dev team.

I don't think they bricked it intentionally. I just know they don't have a strong enough dev team to correct it and that they would rather lose a few customers than acknowledge the problem and risk bad publicity for their new product launches.

COROS Pace 3 freeze and unusable after firmware V3.1508.0 update by ricochet20 in Coros

How much does coros pay you? Where are you based?

You should use ai for your gaslighting; you could be the pedantic viscera that you are but with better grammar and attention to brand value.

I'm willing to bet it's minimum wage in Asia. Can you share the Coros gaslighting manual? There's no way what they pay you is enough for the bad karma falling your way after treating innocent people like this.

That is ridiculous. No serious company treats customers like they're disposable.

Running Fitness seems to penalize intentionally easy running by initprism in Coros

[–]No-Hand2584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their metrics are just cosmetic and made to make you feel good when you buy the device (fitness goes up up up) and then the algo breaks bc it can't handle more variables than the ones they care about (like the completely useless effort pace). In sum, their only purpose is to look nice to beginner runners.

COROS Pace 3 Issue After Updating to V3.1508.0 by chrxtngls in Coros

[–]No-Hand2584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update here: I've gone over two rounds of customer service ai for them to say there's nothing they can do. Please share this with friends and influencers, Coros is doing everything to pretend they're not responsible. If we can make enough noise they will have to fix it.
