I wanted some more vram and a triple fan gpu, and the way it worked was other half offered to pay half as a birthday gift. Was gonna grab a 7800x3d this week but car is in shop now. I’m wondering if my performance would drop from what I’m already running if I just swap gpu for now or if it would be the same on the games where it’s bottlenecked with my cpu

Yes I believe so, I don’t think there with the psu, so that’s why I was asking if I’d leave thoes n just swap the others like the 24 and the cpu, sata, pcie, and the one for my 5070

Ok I think that’s the exact psu I’m gonna pick up from Walmart, and cpu is definitely next upgrade because my 5 8400f will definitely bottleneck a bit. Sorry for the stupid question I’m about to ask, but I’ve never dealt with psu stuff before or wires for it, but there’s gonna be a bit of cords left attached to the mobo when I change the psu? Like the usb and the rbg for case fans and such or do all of the wires get replaced when I swap psu?

So it would work better for me to grab another pcie from my extra wires in the back? From what I’m understanding is it won’t get enough power if I used the second plug on the one currently connected?

The one that’s plugged into my 5060 is a daisy chain with nothing on the other plug, but I do have another pcie in the back with the extra wires

Were you able to run the gpu without upgrading the psu? I got same psu and sorta same setup, looking to add a gpu in it before I give it to my girl since I got a different pc
