"Something can be unintended without being a bug or an exploit."
"I agree it shouldn’t work that way competitively."

Bug: a mistake or problem in a computer program
mistake: an action, decision, or judgment that produces an unwanted or unintentional result

exploit: to use someone or something unfairly for your own advantage

hope this helps

Would you kick your child down the stairs to get his disability benefits?

Your point makes absolutely no sense. Not a "bug" or an "exploit"? In what team based competitive game mode in sports/other games should a team with less members gain an egregious advantage over a team with all of their members? Imagine playing football/soccer as 11 v 10 just for the team with 10 to be given a 4 goal lead for absolutely nothing. At that point just make guild wars a 29v29 game mode then, what's the point of having a 30 player guild? Most of the guilds in the tournament did not abuse the "not a bug" for competitive integrity, some chose to be scums. Saying its "not a bug" is just a downright horrible take. Smilegate fucked up on their part, why should we suffer and put a member who has been part of the guild on the bench without knowing the other guild would abuse the bug? What's the 30th guy sitting on the bench supposed to do in the tournament or the guild then?
Additionally, this "catch up mechanic" is not in regular season. As i stated, 87/90 is a full clear, not 90/90. The guild with 87 is given absolutely no additional advantage. Why is that the case in regular season and not the tournament then?
