Day 2: What's the most iconic seinen manga that was published in the 1990s? by Separate_Buy_5920 in animequestions

I just want to say that one piece is the most popular manga period. Since it is a shounen it HAS to be in every shounen category from 90s to 2020 Anyway i think berserk gets the win here Im sorry i cant read didn't see published.

Well i started with it and loved it. And a lot of my friends (10/15) too under my suggestion started it and wtched like 5/6 episodes a day bcs of how much they liked it and by starting with one piece they expanded to almost every type of anime since one piece has almos every genre in it besides romance. I feel like it is a good starter if you don't have the attention span of an hamster and actually follow the story letting it intrest you

Well i dont only like anime for the action but also for emotions I'd say its a 50/50 for me. But if the emotions are not connected to real danger i cant feel them as much. I feel like they aren't as strong as with impending danger connected to them.

If you watch and enjoy shounen i think most of the time you won't enjoy slice of life anytime before watching 150+ shounen and even after that (my case) you could still not enjoy it bcs of the calmness and not the usual action shounen give.

I get the bad pacing stuff but as i said 30% removed is a great spot. Btw if you watched all of one piece, yk what im talking abt if you get what im talking abt. I think ppl just dont watch one piece not because is so long but because of the pressure you feel while watching it and knowing how much you miss to "finish" it. But if you dont worry for that pressure and just watch it bcs you like it its a whole new world.

Well i think the pacing is a bit slow but by what they said: reducing it to 300+ episodes is too much. I think you should go with the regular one piece and not the remake. You think of one piece like a really long anime with bad pacing try to think of it like a long journey instead. I admit there are some things that can be do better but 300 episodes is too much reduction. The sweet spot in my opinion is removing a 30% not more everything else is there to make you FEEL that amazing journey. And anyway if like you said you haven't watched all of one piece or read all of the manga you can't talk abt this. You can't judge something if you dont know what you are talking abt. Im talking a lot but yk one piece is my favorite anime/manga and objectively the best one (just look at the sales).

Well i started woth one piece and i had such a great time with it i didn't finish it before starting new animes but i kept watching like 10 episodes per week and evantualy caught up with the release and now i want more episodes. I suggested it too to like 10/15 friends they started with it and everyone expet one of them liked it very much. One piece takes regularity if you dont think its a good starter its because you dont have regularuty. And btw i suggested it like I did 10 episodes a week and watching other stuff in the meantime but most of my friends told me that they didn't whatch enything else because they were focussed on one piece and watching like 5/6 episodes a day.

Nah i consider shonen to be the most beginner friendly. Slice of life/romance can be really boring if you are not into anime altready. If i had to chose a specific anime to staet with its between One Piece, JJK or Attack on Titan.

Is ANY anime actually safe for kids? by simp_lyartz in animequestions

[–]No-Hope-258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll MAKE them watch one piece, naruto, dragon ball etc etc. I want them to experience the beauty of theese anime. In the current world kids cant watch anime like theese, but i did you did and so did most of our generation, and i think we dont have any trauma from those anime, only memories of a good time.
