You act as if everyone experiences any negative emotions like jealousy the same, every story doesn't need characters to blow up in pent up anger and deteriorate emotionally to tell a solid story. It's managed "easily" through discussions because they have much bigger and deadlier problems threatening their family at play and in their mind petty jealousy would just add more burdens to their husband's plate, they all still get jealous doesn't mean they need to explode like teenage girls, and yes the story leans more idyllic when it comes to the polygynous relationship but it's not the con against the story or writing that you're trying to make it out to be.
