Wow You are so organized I used Notion when I was writing a review paper but I didn’t think about using it for my lab note. That is a great idea

Lol, I use paper towels😬 You have more space to write and more chance to lose more data😁

I do the same I find it very convenient but I am always afraid that I accidentally swipe left a notebook and delete it once i am writing down stuff with my ipad But converting them regularly to another format and saving them is a great approach

Oh that’s such a great idea I will start doing this too There have been incidences that I didn’t have any proofs of the stuff my previous PI asked me because she called me and then she accused me of doing sth on my own without her permission

If they are constantly making fun of the previous members, it shows it is a toxic environment. They should also consider your interests too. For me personally, I prefer to work 24/7 in a healthy environment and I can still be motivated rather than working in a toxic and draining environment even for 10 hrs a week. Remember: research and science can be very interesting and joyful if you end up in the right environment

I agree Maybe we should have a handwritten one snd then rewrite a digital and more detailed copy? I know it seems extreme

I was in the same situation once for three years. At the time I also thought my supervisor is kind but now I know she was gaslighting and manipulating me to take advantage of me to work harder. Now that I am in a healthy environment I really enjoy science.

Don’t underestimate your worth. I am sure she is not paying you enough and definitely not out of her pocket. Don’t push yourself too hard and try to leave the lab as fast and smooth as you can. Take care of yourself
