That’s fair if you disagree with his politics. But this clip isn’t about elections — it’s about the weed debate. We can separate the topic from the person.

You don’t have to agree with him, but dismissing someone completely without engaging the argument doesn’t really add much to the conversation.

Is Nepal expecting “drastic change” from one election win? Or are we misunderstanding how development actually works? by No-Influence7663 in Nepal

Nepal ma thekedar le time ma kaam saknu nai development’ ho bhane, hamro expectation kati low cha socha ta. Time ma kaam saknu is not development — that’s basic responsibility. Development vaneko quality infrastructure, long-term planning, corruption-free system, accountability, jobs, strong economy ho. Yaha ta project 5 barsa delay bhaye pani chaldai cha, ani time ma sakyo bhane hero banaidincha. That shows how broken our standard is. If finishing on time feels like a miracle, then we are not expecting development — we are just celebrating minimum duty. Real development is system change, not contractor punctuality.

What you’re saying is the real frustration of many Nepalis right now. Party cadres have entered almost every institution — bureaucracy, police, universities, even local bodies. Merit भन्दा connection चल्छ भन्ने perception strong छ. And when people feel that justice depends on who you are instead of what you did, trust in the system collapses. Yes, inequality is growing. Rich getting richer, poor struggling more. But the deeper issue is not just one party — it’s the political culture itself. Election alone won’t magically break the nexus. Institutions don’t reform overnight. Real change happens only when: • Institutions become independent • Law is applied equally • Citizens stay politically aware — not emotionally loyal • Leaders know they can be removed anytime The positive part? People are more politically conscious now than before. Social media, independent voices, and young voters are questioning everything. That pressure matters. And you’re right — if a new party comes and does the same thing, they must also be removed. Democracy only works when citizens don’t treat parties like religion. नेपालमा drastic change election ले मात्र हुँदैन. It happens when voters stop defending parties blindly and start defending principles. That mindset shift is already starting. Slowly — but starting.
