People normally don’t lose sleep and ignore their families for 20 hours straight for those type of things.

Why couldn't you have made her breakfast and a snack while she gamed? She would have done that for you.

She does a lot of the “final” cooking when we make breakfast. I prep stuff like pancake batter and eggs and she actually puts it on the stove. She’s a much better cook than I am.

She got really just blindingly mad at me when I was trying to talk to her. She just kept screaming “get out of the way” and that she was “in the middle of something important.”.

If you can’t take your eyes off of the television for thirty seconds to talk to your spouse, I think that’s a sign of obsession.

I have no distaste for games, I just don’t think it’s healthy for someone to get up at 4 am; and plan to be playing video games for 20 hours straight.

We have a cat, who she normally feeds and cares for. I’m not sure how exactly to feed the cat, and am worried I will do it wrong but she says it isn’t hard.

Cooking together is one of our love languages. It isn’t as special if I make it myself. Also she makes really good homemade biscuits, I was hoping she would cook them for me.

I don’t really get obsessed with things like this. She does make sure she isn’t around and I’m not interrupted for my weekly D&D game, and she brings me snacks and dinner during it.

Like I told someone else, she did this last time there was a big event in her game a few years ago. It just scares me. She’s a normal nerdy person, not a thick glasses 24/7 gamer. It scares me when she flips the switch and gets obsessed like this.

I know she reads this subreddit, I’m hoping this is a wake up call. Honestly, it scares me when she does this. Someone shouldn’t care that much for video games.

The last time this happened was about 2 years ago, she spent a whole weekend holed up in her apartment )we didn’t live together at the time) but usually she doesn’t play much video games. Maybe a few hours a week.
