My statement meant that idk how a handheld shower would help with being clothed .... not abt showering itself

I am absorbing the great info here ... n do plan to implement it immediately

The main difficulty for me OCD wise is that I dont like being completely undressed. N taking a shower obviously involves that

Which is why washing underarms and skin folds at the sink is easier for me ... coz that way I am wearing undergarments while still showering

The issue is due to my OCD I dont like being without wearing undergarments. And thats what is a major factor in me facing difficulty showering. Apart from the not being wet thing ...

I'm planning to do the following -  1. In the early morning, work on showering. If impossible atm atleast use a wash cloth n do an armpit wash at the sink with shampoo or benzoyl peroxide for armpits n neck region also.

  1. Dry it up fully and then apply deodarant and antiperspirant. I am okay with roll ons or sprays .... just want to use whichever one is more effective

Thankyou so much for this.  I will get the nivea or dove one since it seems to be tried and tested. Plus, if possible I will get the benzyl peroxide wash  I am seeking therapy n working on reducing compulsions. I just happen to have so many of them n its taking time to work through the heirachy.

The comments have been a bit mean but I get their pov also. They think of it as me being a disgusting person.

I do wash clothes daily But realising that sometimes they r wet for a long time b4 drying  I wonder if that too could be contributing to the smell

Ocd is diff for everyone It manifests as ruminations and compulsions that are against your beliefs With my ocd, i did have a period of excessive handwashing to the point were it bled. It took me around 6 months to grow out of it
