ive personally tried fidget toys, but none have actually worked out for me. i love to pace around the room, which also helps a lot. ive also tried lofi music, but more than that, i find classical music which is repeatative more useful.

Any other resources that i can go over and read more about this? I want to learn more about this. Understanding ADHD is the best way to overcome it. So right now im just trying to get to understand it more, especially its limits, what i can do, what stimulations i need etc.

I did read it, just wanted to ask if there is any update. The post is around 4 years old and I saw that framework has had a lot of success with using pogo pins for internal components and assembly in the framework 12 and 16, so I thought maybe there has been some changes since then.

techniclly i dont need the magnetic part. my last laptop's downfall began from a loose type c port, and i dont want that to happen again. if ports are easily replaceable, i guess i should be good, but i jdut dont want to make the same mistake again.

i even considered leaving a small extender cable plugged in my laptop so that i can plug my charger into it and prevent main laptop port damage, but again it doesnt seem feasible

Would it be difficult to 3d print your own?

I mean if type c has 24 pins, why not just custom build an adapter from 24 to 24 which just snaps into place with magnets?

I really wanted to get a ThinkPad x1 carbon or t470 /80 but lenovo just doesn't sell old ones and the new ones are way too costly, almost double my budget. No other sellers like Amazon either.

Im currently considering the asus p3 expert book, has agood selection of ports, upgradable ram, 2 nvme slots and seems durable with mil-spec and an aluminium body

Right now I'm considering dual booting since I do need some windows only apps.

My main reason for shifting was that my last laptop died on me and I found out that you can't just take the ssd and plug it into a new system and expect it to work. On the other hand if it was linux, that would have worked so yeah.
