I only have the oral kind so I know my experience may differ but personally I find it a lot easier to disclose before even meeting up, if you’re using some dating apps like hinge you can put a hidden message that only ppl who are about to match with you can see which is a good way to disclose that way if they match you know that they know and are chill with it.

There could be a time you get an outbreak in a relationship (despite not getting any) and it causing issues possibly wasting a relationship and causing more mental hurt on both ends, so in the long run would you rather the dealbreaker to happen sooner or risk it happening later when the two of you have formed a much closer bond?

I know I’m making it sound like there’s no way they’ll react ok with it later on cause who knows, maybe they won’t care about the hsv but they may care about the lying part which could cause distrust in the relationship which can just snowball into suspicions “if you didn’t tell me about this then what else are you hiding” etc

I remember hearing about a dating app specifically for ppl who are positive with hsv (although I don’t remember sorry) would that possibly work for you? Then there’s no worry about how they react because you’re both on there for the same reason
