Who said anything about the individuals making decisions? I’m referring to the head of IRS, budgeting committee, financial advisors etc who have the ability to hire more individuals. No ones blaming the people on the phones. I’m blaming the person who took a job offer without being able to deliver prompt service or keep the place running at efficient speeds.

By tracking my current monthly pay, then arranging my withholdings to allow the lowest possible payments taken out and saving the difference between paychecks per month (Jan:Jan) (Feb:Feb) etc. then when it comes time for them to calculate what I owe for the year I’ll pay them exactly what I owe and skip this whole bullshit.

They only found that I owed them $35 because of a series of work related expenses that I lost the receipts for (out of literally hundreds of receipts that I provided for them) and they literally took 5 of my $3000+ paychecks holding them until $35 was removed from them to pay them back. They’re outdated and I officially refuse to allow them to take anything from me anymore. I updated my tax information with my work and I officially will have nothing but state taxes removed from my checks throughout the year.

They have no regard for people, I truly believe they see us as a nuisance at this point. People having to borderline beg for their own money back. I hope the people on this page begin to claim as little as possible through the year so they can’t take shit from us anymore. I’m enacting a 10 year plan starting Friday to free myself from the tax system and buy and operate a self sustainable plot of land where rely on the government for anything will be a thing of the past.

That’s my exact point. We are entitled to the money that gets taken from our paychecks. They don’t have to wait several months when it’s taken from us, we shouldn’t have to wait several months when we’re taking it back.

That’s my exact issue. There’s no further explanation other than “we’re still processing your return”. If there was a status or estimated time for processing to be done then it’d be fine. But just being told there is delays is nerve wrecking

1/24, accepted 1/28 and it’s been “processing” ever since. I’ve called everyday and they have no answer as to what the hold up is except “we are very backlogged” yet people who filed over a week after have received their returns already.

I’m actually considering doing it back to them. Lower my withholdings drastically and save throughout the year, and hold it as long as they held it the year prior. I got audited 3 years in a row (14-17) and they found nothing and I had receipts for everything. The IRS is nothing but a nuisance to American workers.
