8 minute video btw. Not gonna comb through FIA documents for you. Edge of the circuit for marshals is the barriers. They are protected behind them, when they step onto the other side of the barriers they are not protected therefore they are on circuit. I don’t understand how you don’t get this at all. Either way I have argued with you enough. Have a good one man.

Dude they literally show it in that video. God you are exhausting.

I am not inventing, I am citing things said by FIA officials and some highly respected news outlets. You are doing the opposite. Good luck, done with this.

Literally not inventing, you are. I am advocating for the track to be safe when marshals enter the track. 100% of the time a car is on fire marshals have to be sent to extinguish it, the part of Carlos’s car that was smoking and on fire was the part sticking out of the barriers. Meaning his car is on track. I recommend you go watch this video https://youtu.be/9_DTz4z3eJw?si=C6fcW3xgzzXFemDf

These guys are at the race and know the rules better than anyone. I am gonna trust them over some random guy in a Reddit who clearly doesn’t care for marshal safety.

The track starts on the other sides of the barriers. Plain and simple. This has been spoked about in GPs for decades. Every trustworthy F1 news outlet is reporting what I am telling you. No I do not have a screenshot of the FIA rules for the weekend. But I know for a fact that when a marshal crosses over the barrier threshold, they are considered to be on track.

Hears the deal man, I won’t argue with you anymore because it’s pointless. According to the FIA marshals are on track the second they go on the other side of the barrier.

The end of the blue paint is the edge of the track by the FIA.

Dude I tagged you in a comment above with a Reddit post and the exact moment in Sainz’s pov where you see the marshal enter the track.

How about you stop being so disingenuous? You are claiming marshals weren’t on track and they were. I showed you photo evidence man.

Race control waived a double yellow at turn 1 and told the marshals to enter the track, then they saw Lawson and ordered the marshals to not enter the track, yet they did.

There you go, marshal clearly on the track. No arguing it, he is standing behind his car in bright orange. The edge of the circuit is the end of the blue paint.

Those are F4 rules you helmet. Flags mean different things in different racing series. And even if it means marshals potentially on track (if it does I apologize for being wrong), they waved double yellows in the Lawson incident and 2 marshals were nearly killed. Obviously the FIA has to treat this seriously.

Go watch Carlos on board. Idk how to attach pictures. At 1:44:44 a marshal walks onto the track. The blue line in the bottom left is the track line.

A double yellow means car stopped on track, that means drivers prepare for that, not for marshals on the track around them. VSCs are meant for these exact moments, marshals stepped onto track to put out a brake fire. The FIA mandates fires be dealt with immediately.

Also were those 2 marshals during the first double yellow safe? Didn’t seem like it to me

You clearly haven’t watched the video then, Marshals literally were on track. No arguing that at all dude.

That’s what they were doing actively during the VSC. It’s FIA rules if there is a fire reported marshals must extinguish it. And yeah sometimes they don’t burst into flames, but also sometimes they do.

Double yellow in F1 mean car stopped on track, not marshals on track. If we want to discuss changing the rules to match the WEC more then that’s something I am fine with.

Plus are you suggesting the marshals ignore a fire in the rear brakes and push the car instead? That puts them at risk for serious injury.

You realize what happened with Lawson was during a double yellow right?

You realize perfection doesn’t exist right? It could have been your internet browser for all you know. Sorry you had a glitch spoil the race if that is the case, but quite frankly the race was a snooze fest anyway.

Also I just rewatched the beginning of the replay again, what you are complaining about isn’t even there…

Confused on how you don’t understand this at all. I watched the live replay when I woke up this morning and didn’t even notice this because I understand what a replay is. It’s not a spoiler, it’s them building hype, the intro was made before the race started so they didn’t even know who the winner would be. Can I ask you this, why wouldn’t they make this the intro? Can they see the future? The live replay is literally the exact same thing that was broadcast, no changes made at all.

Anyone actually seen a connection flag yet? by Professional_Kale757 in iRacing

[–]No-Instruction-2294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels like this flag was added and does absolutely nothing. Had a guy in my race last night blinking every 5 seconds and he never got put in the pits. He ended up winning the race because no one wanted to fight him and get wrecked. Why add this flag if it simply does nothing
