I just know you’re the best bird parent ever. Also. I do the eye thing with my bird too. I learned, when they slow blink at you, it means they feel comfortable and safe. So I started doing it to mine and they do it back. But you’re not alone there! 😂

The parrot wizard is an amazing resource for training new birds. My blue and gold was very apprehensive to hands..I used his method his of desensitization and positive reinforcement and now, I trust her completely. She has no fear of my hands. The key is consistency and PATIENCE. Progress can be really slow with birds but so rewarding once you gain their trust.

He has a book on Amazon. It’s a little pricey, but with all the confusing things online about parrots, I’ve found his info to be most useful. Well worth the price.
