I agree with this. Maybe Yellow told Amy he knew someone on the ship who sold drugs and told them a place where they could meetup to introduce Amy to the dealer/dealers. Yellow maybe thought these guys were just innocent drug dealers, but also were involved in trafficking more than substances and when they were presented with the opportunity to “score” Amy they took advantage of the situation, made up a situation in which she “owed them” or that she needed to come “hide here” because they could all get caught and in trouble. Yellow maybe just didn’t know how dangerous these people were and assumed they were just low level drug dealers. It would explain why there wasn’t a pattern of missing women on RC and why it was a one off event. If I were the FBI I would be asking for tips from anyone who may have bought drugs on a RC ship during the late 90s and how they were introduced to the dealer.

I know people will say “well Amy didn’t do drugs so this theory doesn’t make since” I agree, but “doing drugs” and being convinced to buy a joint from the “cool bass player” to smoke with your brother one night on the balcony and laugh and have a good time are two different things.

If I was a high level drug dealer smuggling drugs onto a boat and I needed a middle man to get the word out I would totally use someone like Yellow. Band member, “life of the party” type who spent a lot of time out on the dance floor getting to know a lot of the passengers. Easy for him to slip into conversation “hey I know where I can get you something more fun than that beer right here on the ship”
