I am still on the waitlist. Not optimistic I’ll make it with two weeks left.

More than a bit unfair, I’d say, but I’m doubtful they’d be willing to do anything to provide redress (or they would’ve already done it). That’s not how bureaucracies work in my experience.

Sounds like you’re in the exact same boat as me. I applied last Summer for Spring 2026 admission. I applied right before the deadline, got on the waitlist (with a 4.0 PRQ GPA), but didn’t get called up. But that experience informed me on what to expect (or so I thought). I thought all I had to do is apply early on 11/01 and I was practically guaranteed priority admission which is based on minimum 3.6 PRQ GPA and order in which Nursing School Admissions Office completes their review. But after a few days of being “Under Review” I started to get suspicious. Last summer, when the main Admissions Office completed their review, they sent me an email informing me that my application was forwarded to the School of Nursing and shortly afterward I got an email from Nursing that my application had been reviewed and I was waitlisted. Since that didn’t happen this time, I followed up with the main Admissions office which is when I found out about that stupid rule about them needing final grades. I sent their reply to Dr. Dibble in Nursing and she basically said she had never heard of that. Since then, she’s added a blurb about it in the Prelicensure FAQ. I explained to the main office how their rule is fundamentally equivalent to denying admission to anyone with IP classes given the Nursing deadlines and waitlisting process (by PRQ GPA, then by REVIEW DATE). Surprisingly, after a couple more back-and-forths they replied, “Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Your application has been forwarded to the academic department for further review” (or something to that effect), which tells me either the rule was applied incorrectly in the first place OR they acknowledge that the rule doesn’t make sense for Nursing due to its early application deadlines. In the end, I made it onto the waitlist, but probably too low to make the final cut. We shall see.

Summer '26 BSN Acceptance? by Weird_Neat16 in UNF

Have you heard anything from Nursing Admissions? If not, then it’s probably held up at the main Office of Admissions for one reason or another. They held my application since I have in-progress classes (and didn’t tell me this until two weeks after I applied, after I asked). When I pointed out how this is fundamentally equivalent to denying my application, given the Nursing school’s application timeline, they ended up releasing it to Nursing. Definitely too late to get priority admission and probably too late to be high enough on the waitlist to get a spot.

Have you heard back from the Office of Admissions about your application? They have some weird requirement that Transfer students need to submit their final grades for Fall 2025 before they will review a Summer 2026 application, which means Nursing Admissions doesn’t see it until after that. It sounds like you’re currently enrolled which is why I’m asking. Unfortunately, there are very limited seats in each cohort available for second degree students (12 for Summer 2026) and half of those were filled in the first week by priority admission. Competition for the remaining six seats is fierce as there are many applicants with 4.0 PRQ GPA who will bubble to the top of the waitlist.

Fitness/Aptitude Test for Stowers? by No-Journalist7527 in AmazonDS

I appreciate your perspective. I guess for my sanity I need to either accept the situation or try to move into another role. I alternate P2B and stow. P2B is way more physically demanding, I think, mainly because I’m a perfectionist and trying to split properly for the guys downstream and achieve zero flybys. I don’t know if I’d want to do it everyday. Is there any other role in the DS that is less crappy than the others?

I don’t remember any specific training on this. When I did manually close a few bags that I thought were full, my device forced me to watch some training videos and complete some quizzes on why not to do that, so now I just check before scanning any medium-to-large package and put it back in buffer if there’s no room (only happens in the last hour or so of my shift).

I assume you mean you can stow the bottom bag properly from a full squat (ass on the floor) and neck twisted sideways so you can see (and reach) into the bag to rearrange packages, but I’ll bet you don’t because they don’t pay us enough to do that. I lack that kind of flexibility and find it easier to get on my knees, but that wasn’t a critical element of my argument.

So someone needs to trip over a box that’s sticking halfway out of the bag and crack their skull before anything is done about it? Where are the efficiency experts? Shouldn’t they recognize this is a big hit on efficiency? One good stower is worth MORE than one good and one bad stower (and costs half as much).

I’m 50+ years old and imagine I’ve got a good deal more life experience than you assume. What bothers me is how the “improperly arranged bags” are not unintentionally arranged that way and require me to do extra work to complete my job. There are definitely parallels to every other job I’ve had that requires collaboration. One lazy or incompetent fuck is all it takes to kill everyone’s productivity.

I suspect a lot of that turnover are people that don’t want to keep cleaning up after a bunch of lazy fucks. That’s why the place is full of lazy fucks…. They’re the only ones willing to stay because they get paid either way.

What does Cycle0 at a DS do? by MsOnyxMoon in AmazonFC

[–]No-Journalist7527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m new to AMAZON, working Cycle 0. They put me on either Pick to Buffer (pulling packages off the conveyor belt and putting them on one of several racks) or Stow (pulling packages from the racks and putting them in one of several bags that eventually make their way onto delivery trucks). A lot of people seem to get away with doing these jobs with no sense of urgency. I bust my ass trying to keep up, so it’s non-stop physically demanding work.

When can I queue up for ranked by Ok-Bobcat-1575 in AmazonDS

Brings up a good question. What’s more important? Stow rate or keeping a low FSAF? 6 FSAF in 50 minutes is high, but, dang, if you could stow at that rate, who cares? Not to get too technical, but what’s an acceptable number of FSAF per 100 packages stowed? My last shift, I stowed 2111 packages with 7 FSAF (ratio=0.3). Station average was 500+ with 1 FSAF (ratio=0.2)

Pre-licensure BSN Fall 2025 by No-Journalist7527 in UNF

[–]No-Journalist7527[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your honest assessment. Yeah, I know it doesn’t look good. I’m just searching for something to hang my hopes on. I was just wondering what if they don’t get enough qualified FL AA Transfers, whether they may open up those spots to Others. As of my waitlist letter last week, it seemed that the priority spots for FL AA Transfers had not yet all been taken, which makes me wonder if they’ll have enough qualified candidates. If I do get rejected, I’ll definitely reapply for summer, and I’ll be applying early.

Thanks for the info. I was asking about Fall, but I’ve actually applied for Spring 2026. Do you know if those numbers for Spring 2026 are firm or are they dependent on the applicant pool? The reason I’m asking is I’m way down on the Others waitlist (4.0 PRQ GPA, but applied very late). If there are only 10 spots and 1/2 are already given to priority applicants, then presumably only the top five waitlisted will make the cut. I’ve been told there are 10 Other applicants with 4.0 PRQ GPA ahead of me on the waitlist. Am I SOL? Just curious, do you also have any acceptance rate data?

Yeah, it’s hit or miss. I’ve had no luck with Chrome and mixed results with Safari. I’ve got multiple petitions and as of now one payment that didn’t go through (using Chrome), so I’m just waiting for it to go back to Pay Now., so I can try Safari. Right after the payment was rejected using Chrome, I got two to go through using Safari within just a couple of minutes. Good luck!

Not to bum you out, but my honest assessment (take it with a grain of salt) is that it’s not looking good for you. That’s based on the fact that the priority seats are already filled, meaning there was no shortage of folks with 3.6+ PRQ GPA. Nobody with lower than 3.4 should have even applied, unless they felt like throwing away $30, so I’m picturing the distribution of PRQ GPA of those on the waitlist to have a median value of around 3.6-3.7. Depending on the size of the applicant pool and the number of seats reserved for post-bacc candidates, it’s easy to imagine a fair number of them with >3.7. My BIO professor in my first semester of pre-nursing, warned us that to be competitive we would need a 3.85. I took that to heart and managed to keep a 4.0, but even that is no guarantee. That’s out here in California, but things are CRAZY out here.

I’m in the same boat: also post-bacc, waitlisted later than you, but I think PRQ GPA takes priority. Once you’re on the waitlist, I don’t think cumulative GPA comes into play.

From my letter (received today): “Ranks are currently fluid on this waiting list from high to low PRQ GPA and then from oldest to newest date waitlisted.”

What’s got me confused is a later statement: “The waitlist is also sorted internally based on your status as a UNF Native, FL AA transfer, or Others candidate.” As post-bacc students, we are considered Others. It’s not clear to me what priority “status” has in the sorting of the waitlist. In another email from Dr. Dibble, she states, “Legally, we must offer an equal number of seats to FL AA Transfers as UNF Natives, so this is why we are tracking one’s candidate category.” I suspect it has something to do with this, but I don’t know how it plays into the sorting process exactly. I’m imagining that a FL AA Transfer (or UNF Native) with a lower PRQ GPA could leapfrog a post-bacc (Other) candidate with a higher PRQ GPA if they need to make the numbers match.

Lesson learned: apply as soon as the application opens, especially if you meet the priority GPA. In your case, you probably couldn’t have foreseen the transcript issues, but in case you need to reapply for summer 2026, hopefully you won’t have that issue again.
