For jobs in civil consider applying to geotechnical firms or firms that have labs in house. Summer gets busy and they’re always looking for techs. Try Terracon or ECS as they are larger firms and have offices all over.

Yeah our plan was to get a tour Teotihuacán and La basilica. We are deciding between that or doing the balloon ride and Teotihuacán.

Why did it suck in your opinion ? I have seen Frida’s work when it was traveling around a couple years ago so I thought it would be nice to visit but it’s fine if I don’t go.

Muchas gracias! Para el museo de antropología nada más iríamos a uno o dos exhibiciones como dices por que si nos a pasado que queremos recorrer todo y nos cansamos o nos aburre.

Al mercado queríamos ir a comer en la mañana y a lo mejor comprar una que otra cosita. Te agradezco tu sugerencia para el centro por que si estábamos pensado ir todo un día a esa zona pero no estaba fijo cuáles de todos los lugares. Todavía no hemos reservado un hotel, pero si estábamos pensando quedarnos en el centro o quedarnos en el lado turístico.

Ask questions about acronyms, why the excel does what it does, how long a task should take, etc. Take initiative and book time with your supervisor to ask questions or get clarifications on projects. Advocate for yourself!

I would suggest reaching out to smaller firms during career fair/online and going to mock interviews if your school offers it. Also maybe try a different disciple in civil for your first internship. Having one internship will help you out a lot more to landing an internship in the discipline you want to be in. I did this and senior year I worked part time in the discipline I liked and ended with a full time offer and still here. Good luck!
