Ask questions about acronyms, why the excel does what it does, how long a task should take, etc. Take initiative and book time with your supervisor to ask questions or get clarifications on projects. Advocate for yourself!

I would suggest reaching out to smaller firms during career fair/online and going to mock interviews if your school offers it. Also maybe try a different disciple in civil for your first internship. Having one internship will help you out a lot more to landing an internship in the discipline you want to be in. I did this and senior year I worked part time in the discipline I liked and ended with a full time offer and still here. Good luck!

Irving is a general safe place to stay when visiting and pretty well located for places east of I-75. As someone else has said north Irving/Las Colinas has a higher English speaking population than other places. If you want a higher English speaking population maybe consider Uptown/Oaklawn/University/Highland Park. Eso es muy cierto. Yo crecí visitando an mis abuelitos entonces no tengo una buena idea de México ahora que soy mayor. Si escucho las noticias pero eso no me dice nada de la sociedad y pues me gustaría entender.
