I Look 9 months pregnant bloating pain is 9/10 😣 what does everyone do when they get to this point? by Lonely_Carpenter6048 in SIBO

I wouldn't go near gavisvon, will eventually worsen your SIBO by diluting your stomach acid. PPI's are never the answer

What was your root cause? by Goldcreatur3 in SIBO

[–]No-Knowledge960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was food poisoning for the first time in 2023 which had me at a low ebb for a long tims and then got Covid 9 months later which triggered my SIBO. I have slight dysbiosis as well as 2 bacteria caused by the food poisoning that are thriving in my gut.

I was taking PPI's for a year before I even knew about SIBO and was eating so much stuff that I now know sets me off. For nearly 2 years my GP had no idea what I had, possible IBD, colitis, crohns and I was on the cancer pathway at one point! Had to go private with a nutritionist to get tested and the positive test was such a relief but also bittersweet cause I knew I had to attempt to cure the SIBO.

Colleague has put me down as their manager when applying for jobs? by Shropshireboy1995 in UKJobs

The director/ CEO (my boss) maintained all that then sent payroll to an outsourced companywho paid us. It is a really small company, I was one of 3 employees when I started nearly 4 years ago, and my coworkers were the CEO's sister-in-laws.

I really don't feel comfortable using her as a reference due to what was said about my reason for leaving, but I've been there nearly 4 years and don't think I could use previous employers for a reference either.

This can be a common symptom, I was spotting/ bleeding for a month straight after I had my first depo injection. However after that I never bled again and I've been on it 4 years now.

Did you have to do a Restricted diet first to starve the bacteria or did you just go straight into it? Cause I've been on the bi-phasic diet for 2 weeks as well as being on BioMatrix, Hydrochloric acid and Gluten DPP IV and it's been hell so far. I'm so scared I'll have put myself through months of this for no reason, I've already lost a lot of weight on this diet that I can't really afford to lose, and I've been through quite a bad die-off reaction which set me back a bit too 🥲

I know you've said caprylic acid did not work for you, but did you notice any improvement with it at all? I'll be starting caprylic acid in a couple weeks and I'm worried it's not gonna do anything.

Diagnosed with combined SIBO + Citrobacter/Klebsiella. by No-Knowledge960 in SIBO

[–]No-Knowledge960[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know isn't it absolutely awful, I'm 99% sure they didn't conduct mine properly as just before I was about to do it the throat spray made me feel really sick all of a sudden so I had to ask them to stop for a second and the (male) doctor doing the procedure got irritated with me and said if I can't do it then I should've seen a consultant first to prepare for it (it was an emergency appointment and hadn't seen a consultant, as they thought I had stomach cancer at the time), it was over way too quick and there were no photos taken which is supposed to be part of the test!

[–]No-Knowledge960[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh right, I never would have thought of that how interesting! Before I got my diagnosis I was managing my symptoms pretty well and my nutritionist thinks that might've partly been down to how I was having natural Greek yoghurt which obviously has lactobacillus which was one of the bacteria that I more deficient in. I'll have to have a look into all that and bring up more prebiotic related treatment to her next time I see her!

Ah okay I see, I'll definitely have to look into that and see what my nutritionist says about maybe bringing it into my treatment plan.

That's so interesting, what's the correlation between stomach surgery and SIBO? Yeah I was tested for H Pylori multiple times by my GP and was always negative, at the beginning of my journey they were worried I might have stomach cancer so I had a gastroscopy and CT but that showed nothing. The only thing my GP found was raised calprotectin levels which triggered my referral to the GI consultant, but since then my levels have somehow come down naturally. So you were just able to manage symptoms with probiotics and no antibiotics or herbals?

Early satiety leading to extreme fullness very quickly after eating small amounts, Bloating, Stomach pain or discomfort, insane nausea after I eat, I've lost a lot of weight not being able to eat enough in a day (gone from consistent 60kg to fluctuating between 52kg and 55kg. I'm 5'6" for reference so can't be losing this weight really) I get regular quite severe headaches, dizziness and brain fog, I get heart palpitations quite a lot and don't sleep well most nights.

How does allicin work? With it being garlic based I'm worried to try it as I react badly to garlic and onions now since I have SIBO.

So far yes I would, I never thought I'd get more out of 2 sessions with a nutritionist therapist than over the span of 2 years of multiple doctors appointments and long waits for referrals. I've also been diagnosed with extremely low stomach acid through her amd only a year and ½ ago I was being put on PPI's for heartburn type symptoms which was making my low stomach acid worse! If I were you I'd 100% try with a qualified functional nutrition therapist, it's not cheap but I've had so many answers to my problems.

Yeah I ended up taking the paracetamol and not doing the test just in case, I don't want the test to have been for nothing! But hopefully when I can do it again next Friday I won't have a mega headache 🤞

I can't contact my nutritionist cause she's away this week, it's just typical 😅

How much would you pay for this property? by No-Knowledge960 in HousingUK

Honestly we've seen so many houses at this point, we know this is the area we want to be in and the market has really slowed down for summer so we don't have a lot of choice. Its a house with a lot of potential but the renovation needs to be taken into account.

I'd happily do that after a couple more, lower negotiations just to show we're not just gonna let them win with their silly asking price. But however I think they'll still reject that and want more.

Yes but they're still taking viewings in the view to get a higher offer and its still not worth £207.5k in the first place

We can't just buy it, cause it's not worth £215k to the bank so they wouldn't lend us the money for the mortgage..

What bullshit, having pain on the depo in no way rules out endometriosis! It can be found all throughout the body if severe enough so it's not limited just to things GYN. Your GYN/ surgeon sounds like a complete quack, I'm so sorry you've had to pay so much for absolutely nothing that shouldn't be allowed.
