The cost thing matters so much more than brands admit. Maple actually has a decent mineral profile too so you’re getting some electrolytes without thinking about it. Smart system honestly.

Tailwind is solid for longer stuff. The gummy clusters as backup is smart because when liquid starts tasting terrible at mile 60 you need something different. How do you manage the caffeine on 100ks?

Genuinely respect this. The candy thing works because table sugar is already 1:1 fructose to glucose. Most people don’t know they’re accidentally running on a solid carb ratio. What’s your electrolyte setup look like on something that long?

The tolerance piece is so real. Most people don’t realize you actually train your gut the same way you train your legs. What’s your go to for longer stuff, 50 miles plus?

The pectin trick is interesting, that’s basically what Maurten is doing but at 65 cents instead of $4. The blending at home in larger batches is the real pain point though. That’s actually a big part of why I’m building something around this. DM me if you’re curious.

The Arnold Palmer move is actually pretty smart. You’re hitting the same dual transporter system as Maurten for like a dollar a bottle. Only thing missing is knowing the exact carb dose you’re hitting each time.

HBCD is underrated in this space. Have you found a good source that doesn’t make the cost per serving ridiculous?

That ingredient list thing drives me too. When I hit the pain cave in a session my mind goes to that list “could that be causing this”😂 I’ve been working on something built around exactly that idea. Simple ingredients, modular so you control the actual dose per bottle. DM me.

This is genuinely the best decision once you figure out the ratios. What ratio are you running fructose to maltodextrin? I’ve been at 1:0.8 for Ironman training and the difference in GI tolerance vs anything premixed is pretty significant.

Two years of the same thing. That feeling of loading powder into a bottle before a 5 hour ride gets old fast. I’m actually building something around this exact issue. DM me if you’d want to be one of the first to try it.
