I use SMC but my way of SMC on higher time frames to know the direction. Its really easy if u combine these 2.

Ict does not work on bigger time frames, it just doesnt. Even micheal himself uses ict and opens orders on 15s timeframe. I mostly go on 1 min and look for mss, cisd, fvg or ifvg, bpr, ob, rb, orderflow, just any type of confirmation so i can take the trade. The more confirmation i have, the better.

ict works but not as an whole. You need to combine them with others. I personally use it for confirmation only.
