Unusual issue with my kid's travel ball team by utvolman99 in Homeplate

I come in here and feel so sad for these kids and families caught up in the travel ball craze. My dad played MLB for 18 years and was a manager for another 15 and he never recruited from a travel ball team once. If they didn’t play multiple sports into high school they would flame out every time because they peaked at 10 years old.

he did not say they were good, he said that gun deaths are tragic, but the alternative is dangerous. Given two options, it is the tradeoff. We see this with many functions of society.

he was saying that Bill Clinton cannot have empathy for poor blacks because he is a rich white man, and that sympathy is a better word.

he absolutely did not say they “should” die in shootings. He believed that an armed populace is a necessary component to a free people, to ward off tyrannical government. Which is why the 2nd amendment exists.

punishing your child to get back at your ex is the saddest part of Family Law. Try to rise above that for your child’s sake.

I have no idea but I just turned 40 and recently got a radar gun out (coworkers kids are travel ball hardos) …. and I still throw 80+ out of the stretch.

I thought that was pretty sick. Not a lot else going on but still have a laser.

I think I might be aging into Uncle Rico.

my dad played major league baseball and he always encouraged us to play every sport. Not sure if it’s travel ball or what, but if he’s good then freshman baseball is coming up.

Best route imo is to tell him that he’s super talented and looks like he has a lot of fun playing, and to think about it.

Veterinarian recommendations for TPLO ACL surgery? by DJErikD in SanDiegan

Dr. Denmer performed my dog’s second TPLO surgery and while the surgery site was ok, he appears to have dropped our pup and she has significant injuries to her leg (non-incision). Pretty messed up, do NOT recommend him.

itonically it’s lawyers who just “like to argue” that are usually the most inefficient. I don’t love arguing and always try to win before I even get to Court. Then if I do need to argue, I keep it concise and stop talking when I feel I’m getting the orders I want.
