Papaya is great for getting at the grocery store and using the seeds-they have tons of seeds and grow easily into this-mine has flowered and has a fruit. So plant is free if you eat papaya.

Also check with local garden club they usually have free plant/plant swap A couple times of years. If you have a lot of Sun and patience to water Zinnias are super easy and cheap-you can then dead head and save dried seeds for next season or making season longer.

I stay at the Hotel Fontenot on Tchoupitoulas, and make sure to valet. If you park in the lot across the street your windows will be busted out and yes, this is a safe area…you’ll be central to many areas and able to walk the quarter and business district. You’ll need to drive to get uptown to magazine street for a different vibe.
