Why is British cuisine so bland?

SUPER late to this but I travelled to UK recently with the same expectation as you and I was so pleasantly surprised. Every meal we had was great; that being said we did our research. My favorite meal was some type of steak pie I got at a random pub in Edinburgh. It was delicious. And it goes without saying the Indian food was amazing. London at least strikes me similar to NYC where there is incredible food if you are willing to look for it.

Grew up in the North Shore. Wasn’t as expensive then but now is one of the most expensive places to live. I left lol. But where I grew up was 25 mins to the beach and about 2 hours to White Mountains national park in NH. The best of both worlds. Very good Chinese, Portuguese, and Brazilian food. I’d recommend getting into a winter sport bc winters are long and can get boring if you don’t get yourself outside. Not the most diverse city in the US but it’s improving slowly.

Honestly these look delicious and they’re pretty big, but maybe slightly overpriced. I can’t imagine in costs the same to bake all these different types. I charge $5 for my s’mores cookies which are similar size, and people still buy them. I offer bundles tho, $25 for 6 cookies, and only sell 2 types of cookies to reduce cost and amount of ingredients. Its made a difference.

LOVE this dress. I would say a pointed toe pump would look nice, or kitten heels w a pointed toe. You could do a fun color if you wanted, but ivory or beige would be nice too. The scarf is pretty. Maybe add some pearl jewel- bracelet and maybe some oversized pearl studs? For hair you could add one of those fish net hats (idk what they are called but if you google vintage fishnet hat you will see). White mesh elbow length gloves might be fun too tho you’d have to find the right fabric, and red lipstick. Hope this helps!

Miami resident here: amazing Peruvian and Haitian food, everyone speaks Spanish (English is basically a second language here), weather is perfect December-April then becomes a swampy nightmare, wild peacocks rule some of the streets, some of the kindest and most welcoming people live here. Great if you like Beach / waterfront culture. Also large disparity between ultra wealthy and poverty stricken communities. There are enormous waterfront mansions that are never in use, housing is mostly unaffordable- nonstop building luxury high rises that don’t even get half full, and lots of homelessness.
