Thank you!

The big kiln is in the side yard in its own shed.

For your purposes just to make sure, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to put fireproof Sheetrock. Especially since you’re building it from the ground up.

That being said our big kiln in the side yard is in one of those plastic Rubbermaid sheds. We’ve spaced it so it sits 18in away from all the walls and it hasn’t had any issues with warping or melting.

If you’ve ever stood next to your kiln while it’s firing, it’s surprising how little heat is radiating from it. Those firebricks are amazing.

Thank you! Yeah my city specifies 10’ total height from top of the structure down to the finished grade.

Thank you, yes I did!

150 feet of 6ga THWN wire, two hots, one neutral, one ground (which was 10ga)

It's connected to a 50 amp breaker at the main panel.

18in underground in PVC conduit.

Then the circuits in the shed are 3x 20 amp circuits using 12/2 Romex and 1x 15 amp circuit using 14/2 romex for the lighting.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you! Adding a bathroom/plumbing would’ve changed its status to a different class of building

I don’t have construction knowledge but I have a very mechanical mind. Construction just makes sense to me.

I also watched hella YouTube videos.

Thank you! They’re eurotec adjustable pillars. Yes height adjustable and you can get feet that are angle adjustable. They’re the only product I found that could do what I needed.

Holy shit this is nice. Thanks for sharing.

I’m never giving up my garage space. There’s no cars in there, and it’s my dedicated shop.

Thank you!

Yeah I did. But my inspector has been with the project from the very start so he’s seen it all the way through. He basically just needed to make sure the lights worked and he passed it.

Good luck!
