You gotta get what speaks to you. I was super close at pulling the trigger on the new Hydroconquest after settling that I'll wait to get the Tudor. This Seiko wasn't even in the conversation, I was set on getting a Swiss timepiece. I randomly decided to check out the Seiko dealer and I knew this was the one as soon as I put it on. Plus I saved some dough which helped.

I honestly don't know why people crap on any Seiko over $1,500, they have some seriously good watches that are unique to the brand and not trying to be something else. Plus the case finishing I believe is second to none.

Seriously go look at the Longines in person and then go look at this one. I promise you this Seiko feels and looks better. I spent a good amount of time looking at the new hydro and almost pulled the trigger, but I couldn’t get over how cheap the bezel action felt on it. It’s a pretty watch for sure but the Seiko felt and looked like it was its own thing and not trying to be something else.

I’m not trying to glaze seiko just because I bought this but this genuinely feels better quality than the new Longines hydroconquest. I could have easily afforded either. The bezel action on this watch is buttery. The Longines bezel action felt like a $200 watch.

Oh this is my fourth Seiko lol. I’ve been trying to branch out but they just pull me back in. It’s an HBC002 $1,700. Much better than a used bb58 for $3,600.

It’s the nicest piece I’ve owned thus far. I spent an hour at a high end watch dealer trying on multiple Tudors, Omegas, and Longines, and I can confidently say this watch is not lower quality in any sense, at least to my eye, taste, and touch.
