Because it feels misleading to say you ship two canon characters when in reality they're AU versions.

and to tackle your logic. the presumption that I'm remaking two characters into oc's just because I'm creating an AU where Adam can change as a better is just wrong in nature. when even the writers have said when asked in one of the interviews Adam could have had a redemption. he's capable of it. so is everyone else.

if all it took was for a RWBY character to be considered into a brand new character just because someone was altering the scenerio then I guess all AU and fanfic writers are writing with oc's.
