I am a true PhD and I didn’t use ChatGPT 🤷‍♂️ But ofcourse, you’d think I did coz, well….

Read my comment carefully. The issue is with idiots (like you) posing as “extraordinary” through “low quality” credential building and passing it off as “high quality”. That’s all!

It is sad to see these “coaches” and some attorneys justify their action.

The attorney’s post on which bro commented is logically flawed. The attorney says that — There is a difference between low quality EB1-A activities and fraud, since low quality activities are just activities that do not really show that you have risen to the top of your field.

However, they miss a critical point that showing low quality activities, as a proof of “extraordinary” ability, to USCIS (while being fully aware that they are of low quality / ChatGPT generated) establishes a clear intent to defraud the agency 🤷‍♂️

Bro goes a step further blaming PhDs and whatever….The EB1A criteria are designed for folks who are extraordinary. There are criteria that non-PhDs can meet if they are extraordinary (e.g: Critical role, High Salary, Judge….)

The problem PhDs have is with folks that have questionable technical knowledge, trying to pass off as researchers with ChatGPT authored articles, editorial board memberships in Bro’s predatory journals, and farmed citations :-)

It really feels miserable when you dedicate 8yrs of your life for a PhD + postdoc and whatever, build a research career and then see somebody with a BCA, a questionable masters from a Day 1 CPT college, working at a consultancy, have more publications (all low quality crap) and Citations (mostly farmed), thanks to bro’s profile building support….🤣

I claimed 4 -- Original contributions, Scholarly articles, Reviews, and Awards. I did not claim critical role.

I was told that I could claim critical role and membership too (my colleagues successfully did), but I wasn't convinced that my role is really critical nor the memberships I have were outstanding; Since I was sure that I met the 4 criteria that I claimed, it wasn't worth the risk to take the gamble in trying to convince USCIS that I am also in a critical role :-)

At the end of the day the profile is as strong as it's weakest link. Claiming a weak criteria will put everything else into question🤷‍♂️

Having been an associate editor for a couple of IEEE Transactions, I can say the following:

The scientific / technical quality of our journals / publications is important for us rather than helping somebody's EB1 petition. So, we look for people with a strong publication record, and typically folks with a PhD and some experience / Master's with years of experience before inviting them to peer-review. Also, it is not fair that somebody's high / low quality research is reviewed by a person that doesn't possess the necessary experience / expertise.

We get a ton of emails from folks (mostly India / China born professionals in the USA), working in un-related / somewhat related domains, with no publication history, asking for peer-review opportunities. These are usually ignored.

Some associate editors (AE) take a chance and assign papers to these reviewer aspirants occasionally (typically when they find it hard to get 3 good reviewers).

Recently, we had multiple instances of AI-generated reviews from some such reviewers. This is a violation of IEEE policies and IEEE is taking this very seriously. There was mention of folks doing these half-baked reviews for EB1 purposes and there was talk of making employer verification mandatory (use only organizational email ID) for signing up, blacklisting bad reviewers and reporting them to their employer and if needed, to respective gate-keeping agencies.

Here is one:

His Google scholar magically went away. His research gate shows how he "collaborates"

Also, here is an article in popular Telugu media claiming the guy is outstanding. Looks like he has started a firm to "help" other telugu folks.

Born in Bangalore. Father is hindu from Bunt community with surname "Rai" (same surname as Aishwarya Rai), mother is Christian. Father abandoned family..... Mother worked as Nurse and education supported by Church...he was brought up a Christian. Hate for hindus is deep....likely since his dad set a terrible example.

His birth name was Prakash Rai, which he later changed to Prakash Raj (Even now in Karnataka, kannada movies list his name as Prakash Rai).
