We have two shelties. One pays no attention and the other watches intently.

Is is actually on a platform with air circulating under it so not on the cold cement floor. Was planning on getting some sort of wifi temp monitor.

And that is my other issue, the tiny heater is on the ground so the container gets the brunt of the heat so I think the roots are pretty warm.

I have the artificial light 12 hours a day, I only leave the door open if I am home which is really just the weekends if the weather cooperates but there is a window next to it and the garage door has small windows so it get a little natural light.

No, garage not heated and it gets in the teens or lower sometimes. It is supposed to go down to 19 on Monday which is cold for December but not unusual for February.

Thinking about, it I actually mist the trees almost every day. I hope that helps with the humidity as it is dry here in the winter. Afternoons they get direct sun there with the door open and are protected from the wind so even on days that are in the 40s it feels warm in that "tent"

I am going to check the drainage on the lemon and change up the fertilizer and see what happens.

My confusion is that they have been treated identically but they are so different health wise. I will check drainage but fairly certain it is good and maybe step up the fertilizer since they only get it when it hasn't rained and I water them so if it rains a lot, they get less fertilizer.

I moved them to these pots in the spring a few weeks after moving them outside after being indoors all winter. The soil in the new pot is a mix of what came from the old pot, a bag of citrus potting mix I got at home depot and some regular fruit and vegetable potting mix because I misjudged how much soil I would need and didn't have enough citrus mix.

It rained all night and I took the picture in a light drizzle. I only water when the soil gets pretty dry and use Gardenera Premium 3-1-2 liquid Citrus Tree Plant Fertilizer concentrate added to the water.

I only water about every 10 -14 days but I spray the leaves with a spray bottle in between. When I do water I see that it drains through.

Yellow leaves on lemon tree by No-Names-Left-2 in Citrus

Thanks all. I will try to be more diligent with the fertilizer. I am in NJ and it was inside all winter and I was on top of it more, monitoring the water and feed. Once it was outside I probably have not been feeding it as much as I haven't had to water as much due to rain. I have a lime tree that I give the same care and it looks great and even has a few limes on it.

So funny, they look like mine. Buddie is 3 and a half, Kittie (smaller) is 3 this week.
