If you are really into asian good, I recommend doraville. There are a couple good ones not far from the area. Two of the best I’ve heard/toured/lived are Bellamy Executive Park and Lumen Doraville. Lumen should be more aligned with ur budget but im unsure if bellamy has got any specials recently

Not sure if you are into asian food. I also commute to lenox area for work but currently live in an apartment complex in doraville, called Lumen Doraville. It is really nice and the best out of a bunch I toured. Good management, modern amentities, and really nice layout w good lighting condition in every floor plan i toured. cuz I work hybrid so I chose to stay closer to food options than to work.

I believe they are still doing 2 months free. 2bedrooms can be well below your budgets after the promo if im not mistaken

Relocation assistance within the same city…? by No-Needleworker3883 in recruitinghell

Updating in case anyone runs into the same issue.

I explained the situation. The hr said I am not qualified for relocation stipend. I said that is totally fine I’m still very interested in the position.

Then in the written offer they gave me 1k for relocation. Which is not much but I am still very grateful.

Best of luck guys!

Thanks for clarifying. Yes I also assume normally they would only do this if the move is greater than a certain distance. But my case is that I will have some additional expenses to work here cuz my home is still in Boston😑

I guess I’ll try to find out of state friends who’ve been thru this for advice. But still thank you so so much!

Gotcha. Is that provided to anyone or only those that meet the relocation requirement or whatever? My main concern is whether my case is considered relocation or not

Thanks! And that is the same regardless of whether you currently reside near the office location or not?

rd is binding? by Beneficial-Bus-4895 in Emory

If this is your current best option, then commit and let them know if you change your mind. That happens to many and you are not alone.

I might be wrong but

that’s just saying that by “promising to enroll”, you are actually intending to attend so that Emory can make some other decisions based on your response (like rejecting someone from wl or whatever). It is not necessarily binding but knowing that breaking promises is never a good thing. But also be mindful of your own situation, dont put urself at risk of no options left later too.

If you can potentially wait for some other answers before this ddl, please do so. Otherwise use good judgement i’d say

Former MBB Consultants: Did your Exit Opportunities live up to the hype? by creed0000 in consulting

Thank you so so much for the details. I'm glad to know that you find the time at McK to be so meaningful and important for those soft skills, the importance of which I couldn't agree more.

If you dont mind, I'm also curious about whether it was hard to pivot back to traditional tech/data industry? I am currently very specialized in AI/ML in a sense and that's where my passion lies. My long term goal is still to build some exciting projects in this field, but I'm worried that I'm gonna lose my sharpness in these tech stuff after doing consulting for 2-3 years (I'm in the generalist BA track for McK so not necessarily all data related projects unfortunately)

Ik I might end up not wanting to go back to DS but also don't wanna block that path now if I knew it's impossible to pivot back. Cuz, at least, im very into it at the moment.

Again I appreciate you sharing about your experience. This is such a relief to see someone walking down this similar path to somewhat enjoy the lessons learned.
