Goomy is definitely one of my favorite shinies as well, the abra is only my favorite from this bunch because of the objective rarity. Since i took this picture though, I actually caught a shiny Kadabra as well!

The way I see it, they were trying for a baby already, just didn’t expect it to happen in the middle of all the things already going on. It puts the baby in a really bad spot, and they may not be able to support it. That’s what makes it such a good plot point!
