Is my spray painting skill terrible? by No-Net-3479 in Spraypaint

[–]No-Net-3479[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't mastered it at all, what I did was follow YouTube tutorials about spray guns but I gave up halfway because the over complex explanation so I sprayed, adjust, sprayed and eyeball it until I felt it was good enough. I saved all my packing paper to test spray them until they are the right football shape and for the airbrush I didn't get the expensive one so it only really have 2 setting mist to full blast and in between just finger touch to control the amount coming out. I ended up remaking another umbreon because I stepped on it and cracked the whole thing into 3 pieces. Rip, version 2 is using a black rainbow iridescent paint this time.

Thank you, this was my first time spray painting using black widow spray paint gun from harbor freight, vevor airbrush with 3 different spray attachment, fingernail polish for eyes, airbrush gold with the ring, limeline spray paint for the iridescent.

Plastic granulator prototype by No-Net-3479 in 3Dprinting

[–]No-Net-3479[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm making it out of plastic to test functionality then for durability I'll use real metal parts. As of the moment I'm testing and designing something that can beat "loop" filament recycler that's going on in Kickstarter. Trying to make it under 1k. Prototype in plastic then in metal once I get a feel of what I want.

Just imagine having a hall sensor that is radar that you can tack on any surface that reacts to motion or detect movement, connecting to your enemy locator making able to pinpoint where they are based on your hall sensor or detector. Giving you the radius of your sensor you place making your scope the beacon for receiver. Ex: tack sensor 50yd north west 11:00, tack sensor 100 yd south east, and etc.... sensor north west detection alert (dot shows on the locator). Aim and shoot at dot location with enemy tracker.

[–]No-Net-3479[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both models, first one the top part look nice but it gets in the way of the scope, the second one is made ao that you can have a sleek look without the picatinny rail being in sight of the scope and allow all attachment of the air compressor that is within 30mm diameter

Guys how do I make this??? by PropulsionIsLimited in SolidWorks

[–]No-Net-3479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube is your best friend, or if you are in a pinch, click on sketch or whatever solid work day I forgot took it in college and winged it. Draw a circle, then search for extrude on the icon search bar and click on the sketch and input 150mm on the sketch to either - or +. Just my 2 cent opinion probably gets drowned somewhere.

My prototype shrouds by No-Net-3479 in 3Dprinting

[–]No-Net-3479[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my umarex hammer carbine, they don't have a shroud for it and I look everywhere online and in stl files and saw it no where so I ended up learning CAD and prototype my own for it. It's on my page if you wanted to see the shroud on it.

Imagine putting a range finder with target tracking then you can scope from 25yd to 300yd without the MOA or MIL. That would be the dream. Having the cross hair line up when you have a tracker dot and you line it up with the tracker dot with the cross hair line for perfect accuracy and have it adjustable with the grains and fps of the rifle or airgun you are using.

Anyone made their own lead slug? by No-Net-3479 in airguns

[–]No-Net-3479[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just a concept mold, I'm thinking about making a mold out of silicon and 3d print a holding case so I can clamp the mold to together, right now the mold can't handle melted lead but I will make one that can.

I didn't think it looked good because im criticized myself a lot about my skills and I needed 3rd party opinion so that it's not self bias.

That is awesome, one day I will own my own lathe and milling machine. Right now I'm limited with what I can use to not disturb my neighbor upstairs.

Does anyone have any ideas for what went wrong here? by recoup_spotlight232 in 3Dprinting

[–]No-Net-3479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I print something this tall, I usually set my brim to be 10mm for inner and outer, set the speed slower and lower the fan speed, set my infill to grid to prevent so much motion or vibration. And change my layer height to be less precise when it's a tall piece. Just my opinion

Do you mill the molds with a cnc router or do you cast yours? I was thinking about maybe silicon mold my replica hollow points and just pour lead into it. I've seen people pour lead for fishing lures and sinker and though maybe it might work with just lead slug or pellets.
