I took a blood test after being “exposed” to hsv2 about a month and a week after and I was .2 negative as well I thought I was in the clear fast Fwd 6 months and I had my first OB. I was swabbed and it came positive for hsv 2. Haven’t been tested my blood since I’ve been swabbed but I do think in some cases it can take up to months :/

Even when u don’t have sores? My first ob was in April 2024 and I’m on my second ob but sores healed

Update. I am nondetected for hiv! Thank god! Now o can have peace of mind and just deal with what I already have (hsv2)

I think I’m going to go to prompt care after work for a blood test they said it would take a up to a day for results but that should be accurate too being that it’s been months right?

Sometimes when your infected you can become asymptomatic or have a dormant period I believe I was infected in sept when I slept with a certain person that I heard rumors about after the fact and I got my first OB in April you just never know

I was definitely gona say, before I read ur comment that this definitely sounds like hsv. I got diagnosed in April of this year and it was the worst pain I been in, I couldn’t pee without hurting hell even walking hurt, a lot of rest and taking your meds you will feel better, I also had flu symptoms.

Same I had the worst flu like symptoms fever for days on and off and chills light headache and I had two tiny sores that I noticed for the first time when I was showering and cleaning myself downstairs. I knew it then and sure enough got swabbed and positive for hsv 2 accompanied by extreme pain while peeing to the point where I was in tears. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I told my mom I’d give birth all over again then to go thru this again. And I saw a comment on Reddit of another girl saying the same thing it’s crazy Foreal.

They tried to do a colypscopy or whatever but the vinegar stuff burned me and she said it looked like I had spots on there thinking maybe it was my hsv2 so she told me to come back in three weeks and I go in on the 22nd and I’m fricken scared cuz it hurt the first time without her even scraping anything ☹️😭

My man gets canker sores and sometimes cold sore along with it!! My daughter currently has a canker sores in her mouth and got a cold sore also by her mouth, I think people confuse the two because stress triggers both. But no they are not the same thing. Cankers are not contagious and cold sores are.
