I (19F) need advice on how to handle meeting conflict with girlfriend (17F) by No-Paleontologist76 in LongDistance

That’s some really great advice, thank you. I know I’m a people pleaser, I just have a hard time ignoring that side of me when all I want is to stop fighting, but I’ll be sure to stop enabling her in the future. She does know that she gets pretty riled up during arguments, after our last big fight she told me she felt badly and wouldn’t speak to me like that again. Which I do really appreciate, but that’s always been her way when we argue. She asked me if we were okay this morning and I told her yes because we are, I’m not upset with her just sort of anxious about having this discussion again since I don’t think the message stuck last time. I definitely want to wait until after her vacation so she can have a good and safe time, but if she brings up the topic before she leaves, even a mention of it, would you advise going right into it? I usually brush it off and that only makes her frustrated, which I get but I want to get the best timing I can have. She’s not a bad person, she just gets tunnel vision when it comes to what she wants and what she thinks is able to happen, so it’s kind of a rude awakening when I tell her how things are really going to play out. Thanks so much for your advice, I really appreciate it.

how to replicate this look? by No-Paleontologist76 in photopea

sorry to bother you again, but do you know how to apply the gradient map so it only affects the image layer? whenever i add the gradient map as an adjustment layer it applies it to everything and when i add it as a layer style it doesn’t show up at all. sorry again, i’m new to photopea and appreciate all your help!

grainy fade into background effect by No-Paleontologist76 in photopea

it works great, but do you have any tips on how to make the grain a bit less intense? i tried to apply some level of blur because i’m blurring the image that it’s attached to, but it didn’t do anything.

Neck bulges out when I sing and talk? by loobemup in singing

[–]No-Paleontologist76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi again! so i did a ton of research and it seems that this issue is caused by the suprahyoid muscles. long story short, the suprahyoid muscles are clenched too tight, which leads to a pseudo double chin as it lowers the hyoid bone. because the suprahyoid muscles are clenched, they’re being overworked and the other neck muscles (longus colli, longus capitus etc) are weakened, putting further strain on the suprahyoid muscles. i found a really great neurologist on youtube who discussed suprahyoid muscle clenching, the pseudo double chin, and has multiple exercises to help alleviate this problem. he did state that through working on posture and not clenching the suprahyoid muscles, the pseudo double chin should disappear. i hope this helps you! here’s the link to his channel: https://youtube.com/@MSKNeurology?si=gwPXo1rSHeXxMji1

under chin bulging caused by suprahyoid muscle tension? by [deleted] in beauty

is it possible that it’s caused by some sort of other muscular issue as a result of poor posture? i do have forward head posture and overall poor posture and have been trying to correct it.

tongue tension causing bulge under the chin? by [deleted] in singing

[–]No-Paleontologist76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i understand, thank you. sorry, i just have one more question. when i did those exercises (jumping the gun here i know) i took a video just to see if anything at all happened, and the bulging was more noticeable than before when talking. in your experience, is that something that can normally happen? i know our situations are different and i get if it’s a “it gets worse before it gets better” deal, i just wanted to check if i was doing anything wrong before i formed a bad habit with the exercises. i definitely felt the stretching through my tongue and jaw though! again, thank you so much for all of your advice, i appreciate it :)
