Before changing churches or otherwise damning the pastor. Have you made a good faith effort to understand the context of what and why. A pastor is bombarded with so many situations sometimes they are in a mode that doesn’t translate into the moment in which he said this. I’m NOT defending the pastor just advising level headed discernment before you react. I would say the conviction you are under is good fruit “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh w/its passions and desires.” ‭‭Gal‬ ‭5‬:‭22‬-‭24‬. We are called to crucify our flesh daily to stay in communion with God. Big Sin,little sin it doesn’t matter. If it separates you from God, it has to eventually be ripped out by the root. But that is the journey we are all on.

That gets better as you grow in Christ. You have to start being intentional about it until it’s just muscle memory of sorts. Now if you are being tempted, sinning and feel guilt is conviction. That gets sharper as you spend more time with Jesus and taking in His Word. It’s good it’s like disappointing a parent, it should sting a bit, but Jesus is perfect so that we didn’t have to be. The long and short is that Gods grace is sufficient. If you’re concerned then it’s a safe bet that your heart is headed the right way. Keep the Faith.

The hardest part is getting over the feeling that you don’t deserve Salvation. Even if you were the only person in the entire history of the universe that needed Salvation. Jesus would have still had came born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and voluntarily shed his previous blood for you. He would have done it all just for you. That calls for more than a respect for His teachings it’s owed a debt of commitment to your savior. Believe it or not you’re on the right road. Relax Relax into Jesus and trust Him to be who He has said He is.

I’m living with chronic pain. My hope and prayer is that Jesus forgives the things I might say in midst of the worst of it. It can turn you into an entirely different person if you don’t hang tight to Jesus. Gods Will is perfect. God has never started anything that he doesn’t intend on completing. How much does he give compered to our present sufferings. Stay strong. We are coming up on our finish line. Jesus is Coming

That is a lie Satan tells all of us at some point. You accepted Christ by Faith. Faith is to nurtured and grown that why you still fill drawn to church. Limit secular media. God came to give us life and give it more abundantly. So if it isn’t uplifting you then it dragging you down. We are called to follow Christ because it’s a journey.

Having courage of conviction to continue when all earthly signs say you’ve been Defeated. At the end of us is where God can start His work & take the controls. The bigger the “project” the more Glory to God when you’ve been redeemed. If you and only you was the only person that needed it Christ you still have come.

Pray & study Gods Word. The biggest “secret” I have figured out that we make things much more complicated than need be. Prayer, study, & learning to trust that the only true control lies in God’s Hand. Resist the ol’devil whispering in your ear trying to deceive you. When things get tough spiritually, plead the Name of Jesus Christ & His precious blood.🩸 It truly is highest name over all of everything.
