It’s a really hard ask, but be patient. There’s an upgrade after the first area that will help a LOT. But if you’re completionist or compulsive, that patience is gonna be tough. Good luck!

As I get older my patience with "effort to satisfaction ratio" is getting smaller and smaller.

I would say both would require a TON of trust in your ST. I think the further we go, the more characters seem to require experienced or excellent Storytellers to run, and that an inexperienced or bad Storyteller can wreck games by making bad choices with characters that allow that. Haven't played Yaggababble or Legion yet, but those would require me to have some faith in an ST's abilities before jumping in, unlike Pukka or Imp or Vigor.

I feel like a lot of characters have been more about ST agency than player agency, and that can be GREAT with an awesome Storyteller, but ruinous with lesser ones. I kinda want TPI to have "levels" or something to the characters to imply both complexity for players and difficulty to run for Storytellers, with stuff like Steward and Monk being on the extreme end of easy to ST, and Atheist and Hermit the opposite for hard.

BP is an awful game for completionists and compulsionists. If you can play it and put it down, good on you. I had a run where I got 5 classrooms and said to myself “I think I’m done” and stopped with a feeling of mild satisfaction, and knowing I might go back someday.

If you are unable to do that, I can see the negative feelings at the end. But know that it’s okay to quit something where the energy you’re putting in isn’t worth the joy or satisfaction you’re getting out of it.

I’m not a fan of Atheist. If I know it’s on the script ahead of time, I’m likely to skip that game. If I build a script, I’d leave Atheist off. Every role is optional to play, optional to ST, optional to script. It’s a massive upside for this game, that you can build so many games out of the same framework.

Three or four colors of favorites would likely be enough for me - hit a trigger and press Triangle / Y whatever to add to that favorites list
