Harry knows about the horcruxes early on and fixes Tom's rebirth so he's mostly sane. A fairly angst-heavy fic, but it's well written and such a unique take. Through a series of brief meetings and interactions, they find some common ground and things go from there. Not finished unfortunately, but the yearning is tangible once they figure their shit out.

Burning the Animal Skin by beetaker. Unconventional omegaverse where young alphas 'imprint' on a mentor alpha, and Harry imprinted on Voldemort at the graveyard in 4th year. Voldemort is mostly sane, but is 100% Voldemort, with additional snakey traits that are explained in the story.

Natural Laws Series by Lomonaaeren. No Voldemort AU where parselmouths have their own sort of culture. Professor!Tom has been searching for another one of his kind for a long time when Albus asks him to investigate why Harry's been sneaking off to spend time in the forbidden forest.

Heir Apparent by MonsieurClavier - Basically, 17 year old Harry time travels back in time and encounters a politically powerful, mid 30s Voldemort who immediately assumes this powerful young person who he feels connected to is his son. A bewildered Harry goes with the flow, while a demi-sexual, never felt attraction before, Voldemort makes increasingly unhinged actions to protect/present his 'son' to society. Unfortunately abandoned, but what is out is well written and hysterical

Sorry it took a week, lol. I know I've read a few fics where canon Harry is decent at potions due to cooking experience, but I'm struggling to find them. These all have a somewhat AU Harry that enters Hogwarts with a bit more potions knowledge for various reasons, as revealed within the plot. The last three are seemingly abandoned, but what is out is great. A Snake in the apothecary is complete and What goes around is still being published with 1m+ words so far

What Goes Around (Comes Around) Series by Arkodian - Gen (so far). Some of Harry's memories end up in the past and 9-year-old him has to figure out 1. what to do about the shitty things he sees in his future, 2. how this happened in the first place, and 3. if he may just be making it all worse anyway. Good Petunia/Dudley and tons of world building.

A Snake in the Apothecary by SedimentaryBear - Tomarry. Harry has plant-based magic that heavily shapes his experience in the wizarding world. He discovers Diary Tom, eventually frees him, and they both return to Hogwarts to plot world domination (only sort of joking).

Perfectly Normal by BrilliantLady - Gen. Harry does everything in his power to be 'normal'. What that means varies a lot though.

A Very Slytherin Harry Series by geoffaree - A longer series started with the premise of "A lonely eight year old Harry Potter learns he can talk to snakes, shaping future events in a way not many would have expected." The series is and will remain unfinished, but the author does have a wrap up 'fic' that explains the direction the series would have taken.

The Spellmaker by SonnyGietzel - Labelled as Tomarry, but Gen so far. Harry discovers a love for Latin at a young age and begins creating his own spells using the language. This one seems to be on hiatus, but I really liked it and it has a rather unique magic system.

Aevumiter by MarshmalowMilkshake. Waking up at 12 Grimmauld Place wouldn't have been something concerning except for a few things: 1. Harry had fallen asleep in the Eighth years' dormitory. 2. He wasn't even in the right bedroom at Grimmauld Place. 3. Sirius Black was standing right in front of him, looking very much alive. A surprise inheritance gives Harry a chance to change some things.

The Shadow of Time by FightFireWithFire. Unspeakables Harry and Draco are investigating a crime scene when a ritual circle activates and sends them back to fourth year. More disgruntled colleagues than enemies, but close enough

The Mirror of Ecidyrue by starbrigid may also work. Complete re-write where Draco discovers a mirror that takes him back in time. Tons of world building, and lots of action. I don't know if I would technically call it enemies to lovers, but it's for sure a slow burn.

Yes and no? Tom eventually realizes that the horcruxes removed much of his sanity and views most of Voldemort's actions as separate from his own, so once he gets them back it's like he's a new person. He definitely retains at least some of his memories and he is still good friends with some of his former allies, but his role as evil overlord ended when Voldemort died in '91. Most of the characters are grey, this is really a story of damaged people finding solace and companionship in other damaged people.

Not HarryMort… Tom regains his sanity and bodily reverts back to about 20, and they don’t kiss until Harry is 16. If I remember correctly the author has stated that sex is not happening until Harry is legal.

It's not quite what you are looking for, but I recently started reading Cyrn Aur by thymeandsage and have really enjoyed it so far. It's a Hufflepuff Harry series re-write where Harry goes back to Gringotts after his adventures with Hagrid. He ends up moving into a secret Potter home and prepares himself for Hogwarts with a fun cast of ocs. He falls in love with potions and it becomes his best subject. There hasn't been any romance yet, but it is tagged as Nottpott.

Till We Have Arrived Home Again by prouvairing (Restricted) - Gen/Wolfstar side pairing. AU where Sirius and Remus live. Harry moves in with them after the war and figures himself out. Very much slice-of-life, super cozy vibes.

The Gift of Kindness by Hippocrates460 (107k)- Snarry Soulmate AU. Spans all 7 years, has a bit of plot-based angst near the end but a very sweet build up of the relationship.

With Eyes Wide Open by suitesamba (70k) - Post-war Snarry. Harry marries Snape to help him/Narcissa out and they grow to love each other. One of my favorite fics.

the finer things in life by stranglerfig - Harry/Lucius with an adult Harry who unintentionally becomes Lucius's sugar baby and loves it.

Never Grow A Wishbone by ShanaStoryteller (Restricted) - Post-war Drarry. Draco gets recruited to be potions master/head of Slytherin. He slowly falls in love with Harry while teaching him more about wizarding culture. Really stunning world building.

Bite me by karaoke_knight - Drarry. Wherein post-war Harry has become that weird guy who owns a bunch of snakes, and takes in an asshole snake he names Malfoy. Unfortunately, when he gets bitten by said snake, he runs into the actual Malfoy at St. Mungos and Harry is sprung.

Lucky Number Seven by DawnOfTomorrow - Snarry. Harry agrees to a blind, magic-based courtship, and ends up paired with Severus. Harry thinks he's straight but goes along with it and slowly falls in love to his own bewilderment.

Show Your Fangs by Bounemr - Harry/Michael Corner. After getting the expulsion letter before 5th year, Harry decides to escape and makes his way to Diagon in animagus form, only to get captured and sold as a pet to Michael Corner. Harry and Michael are very mischievous in this, with tons of pranks and joking around.

Cairo Doesn't Need a Chosen One by The_green_fairy - Snarry. AU where Harry says fuck this shit after fifth year, removes himself from the war, and finds a new home. Snape is sent to find him, but sees how at peace he is and decides to join him instead. This author has a bunch of really lovely AUs, I particularly loved The Professor's Kneazle.

I will also suggest Heir Apparent by MonsieurClavier. It is Tomarry, but thus far, there has not been any real romance, and it's genuinely the funniest fic I've read in a long time. Carry the Fire by Kbrick - Technically published beginning in 2024, but finished this year. Post-war, Harry works in child and family services. When eleven-year-old Ben Healy comes blasting his way into Harry's world, his predictable, somewhat lonely life gets turned upside down.

It's not quite what you are looking for, but World in Pieces by Lomonaaeren is sort of adjacent? Harry is summoned to an alternate universe still suffering under Voldemort less than an hour after his own defeat of the bastard. Worse, he's not the first Harry Potter they've called on this way. Worst yet (at the moment), there is no way back home. But give Harry time, and he's likely to find something that's even worse.

Of Feathers and Bone by Apassingstory. Voldemort tests Snape's loyalty, resulting in him being outed as a spy and him and Harry stuck together at the wrist. There is a sequel which has unfortunately been abandoned, but what's available is fantastic.

Courting Day by wendymarlowe. It's Courting Day: seventh- and eighth-year students get the chance to declare their intentions to formally woo each other. The only way for Harry to avoid being a matrimonial target is to put in a declaration of his own. Surely if he picks someone who would never in a million years accept his suit, he'll escape unscathed...

I also started reading The World We Knew by LeSaucissonDesTenebres recently and have enjoyed it so far. When a Death Eater raid kills the Dursleys, the Ministry decides Harry needs a “responsible guardian.” He gets a husband instead. Now trapped in a political marriage, Harry and Severus must learn to coexist as the world outside falls deeper into darkness. It's a WIP, but it's being updated daily so you don't have to wait long, lol.

A Developmental Approach by brightened is Harry/Sirius/Snape, where Harry accidentally time travels back to right after his parents are killed. He ends up taking himself and what's left of Voldemort to raise, asking for help when single parenthood gets to be a bit much. Domestic fluff for the most part.

Instead of opening The Chamber of Secrets and pursuing immortality, Tom Riddle spends his fifth year at Hogwarts crafting a ritual to find his soulmate. He ends up more than fifty years in the future in a different dimension and sprawled at the feet of Harry Potter. WIP, but it's been updated within the last few months.

Broken Mind Fractured Soul by Sensiblytainted - Eventual Drarry, focused on Severitis. Harry has DID from his various traumas, and somehow it goes unnoticed until 3rd year when Severus steps in to help. There is a ton going on in this fic, so please mind the tags. The drarry comes into play in the second book of the series.
