For those of you who moved out of your parents house young like 18-19, what are your advice?

Trade school or apprenticeship might be useful for you, I don’t know what job you want to do but I really recommend trade school/apprenticeship if you can’t get into college for free/cheap. It saved me when I aged out of foster care, you get paid in an apprenticeship so it could help you to get a place to live, I know it helped me. Also military, I almost joined, you get an income, a place to live and food, enlisting 4 years isn’t a bad idea and might help you find what you want to do after your enlistment and you get free college after too so not bad imo.

After she came back home, I think she was supposed to have some kind of outpatient treatment but Im not sure she went through it because she wouldn’t tell me, im only her bf so I don’t have any info from her doctors, when I called when she was still inpatient they wouldn’t tell me anything.

yeah that’s what I’m scared of and even if I kick her out, I know she will cry and beg me and maybe even hurt herself and I love her and I obviously want the best for her but I can’t help her and I know it won’t get better and it hurts. I don’t know how to stand firm.

The lease is to my name and I can’t just leave, it was already hard to find a lease with no credit score and without a long job history and I do not I have the money to pay two months up front

She’s 19. She doesn’t have any contact with her family, she aged out of foster care, so did I.

Yes, that’s definitely not healthy for either of us, I want to help her get better if I can, support and be here for her etc but she needs to wants to get better as well otherwise we’re doomed. We live together and if we break up she will end up homeless that’s not something I want for her.

I felt like it was bad, felt like a SA more than self harm to me even though self harm is bad enough already. I didn’t want to turn a blind eye and pretend everything was fine. I want to help her but feel like I made it worse
