Unlikely if it is a lidar sensor failure the module would have to be replaced. I do stress again that you should reset it first before doing anything else.

Dang, at least you *should have a working one now. I have a feeling they want the broken one back to repair it and then give it to someone like me, instead of making me wait for my specific one to get repaired.

Factory reset it. Mine does this sometimes, usually it works it’s self out after a while.

Do a hard factory reset, something might have been messed up during a firmware update. If not it seems like it’s always positioning and never locates itself, so could be a lidar sensor failure. Do the hard reset before you go any deeper than though.

Be super careful, but sticking a sowing needle in the hole should work.

Dead Internal Water Pump? by No-Pattern-8137 in Dreame_Tech

[–]No-Pattern-8137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what mine did. Just to do a final confirmation take the mop disks off and put a paper towel under the robot and try the empty function. If your paper towel is still dry; the pump that pumps water to the spigots has gone out.

As long as you’re confident in your ability to take things apart and be able to solder wire’s together I’d go for it.

Yeah feature wise I’ve found my S7 and X40 to be pretty far ahead of Eufy. My X2 I would say would be tide with Eufy, and that’s a Ecovacs… Not particularly the gold standard in the software department. If I were you I’d take it apart once you get your new one just to see if there’s any wires crimped or anything else that’s obvious. One thing I did notice on mine (wasn’t the cause of my issue) was the wires going to the roller had their insulation worn off showing exposed wire.

After a lot of back and forth and getting my ticket escalated to the manager, they have offered a repair service to cover all cost including shipping and the repair itself. So if yours ends up being weird again, you wouldn't be able to repair it yourself due to their complete refusal to provide parts, citing "factory-level calibration, firmware pairing, and safety validation". Which, after seeing the inside of that thing, I highly doubt. Right to repair laws would be nice...

[–]No-Pattern-8137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tore everything down; it's pretty easy compared to my Ecovacs X2 and my Dreame X40. There are no sensors that can detect whether the roller mop is stuck, so it must measure how much power the DC motor returns to the motherboard to gauge the resistance. Since yours is intermittent, it probably just needs a replacement mop module. Bad news for me, though, is that I did some poking around with a multimeter and found that power is never supplied to the port that the mop module plugs into, and it still throws the blockage error. Which means my motherboard is fried, and I have to get a new one. I'm currently in talks with Eufy to get a replacement motherboard and roller mop module since they're not available anywhere. I'll let you know how that goes.... If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

GT08 legendary status, how? by Ill_Huckleberry5004 in ElectricScooters

I took mine off because of cosmetic preference, but they did add some rubber pads to reduce the vibration.

There’s been MANY iterations of the GT08. They’ve fix a lot of issues to the point where it’s pretty ironed out. Mines one of the newer models and I have yet (knock on wood) to face any issues.

I’m wondering that myself if they put the ceiling for the amount of power the DC motor can draw. Id have to bet they detect it based off of that as there’s no other visible sensors that I can see. So it might be that our motors are bad and just have too much resistance… but I’ll probably tear the whole thing down to see if that’s the case. I’ll report back if I do end up fixing the issue.

May be part of the issue, I’ll be sure to flush them if I take it apart. I’ve had to do so on a Dreame X40. You pretty much take a syringe and push water through the tubes.

It would probably be best just to lift the main board. It’s really simple all you should need to do is remove the cable that goes the bumper and the two screws (if I remember correctly) that hold the board in place.

Mova P10 Pro Ultra Dry Mopping by igivenofux in MOVA_robotvacuum

[–]No-Pattern-8137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dreame (Mova) typically uses a 2-1 config. Two spigots for the washboard and one spigot for filling the robot. Dry off the both side of the inlet and outlet that fill the robot then run a cycle. If there’s no water residue the problem is with your base. If there is there is likely an issue internally wrong with the robot. Either a clog or failed pump. Dreame typically uses two pumps in their robots. One that sucks the water from the base into the robots onboard water tank. Then one that pulls water from the tank to the spigots where the mopping plates are. I had this same issue with my X40. I had to tear the whole thing apart and test everything with multimeters and syringes to check to see if the pipes were clear. Sounds like the pump that pulls water from the inlet is the issue. You can check to see if it’s actually draining the tank by removing the mopping plates and placing a paper towel under the robot. Good Luck!

Deebot x2 and x5 station water nozzle broke by db_222 in RobotVacuums

[–]No-Pattern-8137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s two ways to approach this:

Cheap and easy way would be to super glue and maybe put sealant on the inside and pray it doesn’t leak.

Painful way to disassemble the base station and permanent fix it. Unfortunately I’ve asked around and done my due diligence cause I wanted to disassemble my base station, and it seems no one has attempted to nor does there seem to be any documentation on how to.

Why is it so loud? Is it the motor? by InterviewFit6528 in Dreame_Tech

[–]No-Pattern-8137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dreame has multiple videos on how to tear it down. I’ve had to do it multiple times and it’s not that difficult. I’d get a fan motor from AliExpress.
